On January 4th, second semester of the third year had come faster than anything else. What happened last year flashed by like it was nothing with the school starting early. The happiness of celebrating New Year gone by as the thought of the future surged in. Another chapter of the book of life soon enough would get an ending. And turning pages would be another thing which was written long in memory.

Upon seeing the class after almost two weeks break, I noticed how similar it was to before. Nothing particular has changed aside from the weather. The class was warm like it always did with the heather, the talk, and the smile. They were as lively as ever. It was a fresh start, just like the winter breeze every morning.

However, I still could feel its coldness. The chilly and numb feelings as if something had been digging a hole. The empty chair beside me.

Min Seola.

"As all of you may know, your classmate, Min Seola, has been hospitalized since two weeks ago. It was an unfortunate accident that couldn't be stop. But we hope that she'll be back again soon and study with us again here. I ask all of you to pray and keep strong for her fast recovery."

That day, the morning recess began with a few words of condolence from Director Cheon. She came to the class to bring the information herself with several companies from the school boards. She solemnly put on a sad act that receive sympathy from others. I bet they would praise how care she was to all of her students later.

How sickening.

"I hope you'll keep on working harder in place of Seola this semester. Spring Week Festival will begin soon as well as mock tests and entrance exams. While it is a good thing you study hard, a healthy body and mind are also needed to keep moving forward. Please keep that in mind as you're the future of Cheong A."

She continued on, "And no more play around. This is the crucial time of your life. If you struggle, the school will try their best to be there for you. We are one family after all."

With her last words purposely directed to me, she walked out of the class. Leaving me in a pit of fury.

"Earlier, did you think Ms. Cheon knew about the party?"

"I don't think she knows. I heard that she only received a call from the hospital."

"Right, the neighbor found her."

"Poor Seola. Honestly, I couldn't believe it at first. I mean, did she really get injured that badly from falling off the stairs?"

"I suppose. Seola's kinda clumsy anyway."

"Now, I really feel bad for Doha. He's been out of it since the first class."

"I feel bad for Rona and Jenny, too. They took care of her day and night, waiting for her return."

"Let's just hope that she'll awake soon."
