TW: Sexual Assault, Abuse

"Why should I help you? Why should I be another knight for your Seokkyung? You cheated on Jenny for her. What makes you think I wouldn't turn on you and hurt her more?"

My shadow loomed over him as I said, "Prove your worth, Lee Minhyuk. What value do you have?"

He smirked. "Min Seola. Don't you want to know something about her?"

I flinched at Minhyuk's low whisper. Hearing Seola's name long after I spent days watching over Seokkyung suddenly dawned on me with how much I forgot my initial purpose. My rage which I hid, and was ready for it to explode any day.

Of course, I did still care. I still had my resolution back then when Seokhoon told me his side story. On how he tried to be the hero who wanted to save Seola, but got himself tangled up in the cobweb and messed it up by lying to me instead. How I was still blinded by everything even though I believed I had my clues to what was going to be my next move.

Yet, it seemed to me myself, my purpose had changed. Now, I wanted to ruin whoever was, or were, behind all this tragedy we got drowned into. Not just knowing Seola's accident, but also saving Seokkyung.

The heroine act of Seokhoon on December night that I suppose would be the one I laughed at was now swallowing me. Am I becoming a busybody? Perhaps, I did.

"Do you need time to decide?"

I looked up, maintaining eye contact before Minhyuk let go my reddened wrist. His chin gesture over my back, to the stage which was already wrapped up. "Time's up, I guess? I'll see you later. Hopefully, you get the answer by then."

"You owe me one favor for the information after all. Whether you admit it or not."

He saluted, then walked down the stairs. Leaving me alone with my mind splitting and no time to fully function. Even if, no matter how pathetic it sounds, the answer I could forcibly sputter out was air in that moment.

I breathed out harsh. Fiddling with the phone within my grasp, I pondered for long before swiping to unlock it. My thumb immediately tapped on the green icon then did what I'd already chosen since the beginning.

I'm in.

Any progress for the past two days?
The festival is just hours away now.

No.
I found nothing. It's like she knew
there are people seeking out to her.

I guess it is a breather to see
her remain hidden.
Right after the dramatic exit that lunch

Eunbyeol is the replica of her mother.
She loves surprises.
Her keeping things quiet is an alarm itself.
