another, almost, peaceful night was passing as monotonous as the others since that news was spread throughout the country.
a [h/c] haired girl was looking out of her bedroom's window, her beloved tokyo was quiet than usual except for some people who wanted to take a walk outside, late in the night, and the rumbling noises of a few cars.«i know we don't have to panic but aren't these people even a bit worried?» she sighed, admiring the darkness taking control of the city.
she plopped on the bed after closing the window, she then took her phone and looked at the time, it was almost midnight.
the girl couldn't bring herself to sleep even if she was tired, she couldn't understand what was bothering her, but deep inside she could feel the adrenaline ready to rush through her whole body.
«i don't like this feeling at all.» she whispered to herself while rolling to the edge of the bed «my parents are sleeping...so if something happens i'll have to take care of it.» picking up one of the weapons, precisely, a gun, she got out of the bed and looked around her room, it was quiet indeed, at least inside.after taking a deep breathe she noticed some movements near the window and immediately pointed the gun there; a weird sound could be heard but the girl couldn't see anything at all other than the buildings of the neighborhood.
«i can't believe i'm doing this, i'm just ridiculous.» she stood still until the noises stopped, but it didn't end there.
loud thumps started to replace the silence of the room as the girl examined every corner of it.«where?» asking no one in particular, the thumps got louder and louder as she realized that something was walking on the roof of her house.
looking up, she started to slowly move forward, following the noises, but everything stopped right before she could reach her parents' room.
sighing in relief she headed to her bedroom, but as she passed the door, a shadow behind the window didn't go unnoticed to her eyes.
it wasn't just a unrecognizable figure this time, there was clearly something that resembled an eye, or so she thought.the girl couldn't move rapidly like before, it was as if the eye hypnotized her in some sort of way.
«fuck fuck fuck.» she muttered as she panicked inside, her confidence from minutes ago vanished like nothing.
something woke her up from her trance as she thought of what could happen for a fatal mistake like that, the [h/c] haired girl broke the eye contact and pointed the gun straight to the odd looking eye which went away at the sight.
she almost fell to her knees as she laid down on the bed and took another deep breath.«was that the monster?»
