Chapter 7» Winter Formal?

I opened my eyes to see Shawn smiling at me. and he was just admiring me.
I got a little shy so I started to speak up.

"Shawn is there something wrong?"

"No,its just cute how you sleep."

"You were watching me sleep?"

"No.thats just creepy."

"Mmhm sure." I said laughing,
We Both got up and ready and after we headed to school. Shawn gave me a piggy back ride to school. he dropped me off at my locker and gave me a kiss. then after we went to our separate classes like usual and we met up at lunch like usual.

"Hey Skyker!" He said waving at me to come sit, I sat with him and we ate lunch together. I had so much fun at lunch with him. after we had our last periods like usual. The announcement went on and the winter formal was gonna be held next Friday.at the end of the day I met with Shawn at my locker. We headed out and we walked home together.

We had Math homework so we helped each other with it and we were done.
2 hours later. we mostly fooled around but managed to get it done.
It was 5 when we where done our homework so we practiced our guitar.
After I heard the announcement about the winter formal I just couldn't really think strait. how is
Shawn gonna ask me?
Is me even gonna ask me?
Are we even going?
When is he gonna ask me?
Should I ask him about it?

All these questions in my mind. I decided to ask him about it. I opened my mouth to ask him but nothing came out. so my mouth was shaped in a 'o' I just closed my mouth and said never mind.
Shawn just chuckled and he started to playing his guitar again.

» Shawn's POV «

We were playing out guitars and Skyler was gonna talk but I guess she forgot. it was cute. I've been thinking about how I was gonna ask her to the winter formal.

How should I ask her?
Dance? No I can't dance.
Text her? No,that's boring.
Tell her strait up? No. If I was a girl i wouldn't want that.
I don't know.

"

"Shawn..what do you not know?"

"Hmm what?"

"You mumbled I don't know."

"Did I say em everything?"

"No."

"Oh okay." I was nervous if she heard all what I was thinking. this will be the best day ever! I'll get to go to the winter formal with the girl I love. Skyler.
I planned everything out in my head i was gonna ask her on Thursday to make it seem like we were not going. just for a mean surprise. I would sing to her on my guitar and then Pop the question. 'will you go to the winter formal with me?'

"Shawn I'm getting a little hungry want me to cook something?"

"Sure.ill help."

» Skyler's POV «

We both went to make food and we ended up making dinner for his parents,Aaliyah and us. I boiled the water and shawn put in the spaghetti in. Then we got the spaghetti sauce with little pieces of meat in it. we let it sit for a little and I checked on the spaghetti and stir it.

Then when I would stir it Shawn would come behind me and put his hands on my waist and look over my shoulder.
And when the spaghetti was done we put some on every plate with the sauce and we all ate at the dining table.

And Mrs.Mendes started a conversation.

"So Skyler how is Shawn?"

"He's amazing." I said smiling.

"So I got an email from the school. I heard the winter formal is gonna be next Friday,you guys going together?"

"Well.. I d-"

"Yeah we are." shawn said cutting me off.

"Oh nice."
After we all ate I washed all our dishes to be nice it was almost 9, Shawn came down and he helped me. we finished and I went upstairs to changed into my pajamas. and Shawn did too. I sat on his bed cross crossed, I started talking.

"What color are we going to be wearing for the formal?"

"I like blue."

"Okay." I said taking my earrings off.

I thought he was gonna ask me..with a sign or something. I was a little bummed about that. I laid down and I went in the covers. Shawn joined me a few minutes after and we drifted off to sleep.
