Chapter 8» change of plans

» Shawn's POV «

I knew that Skyler was mad at me
So I knew that I needed to change my plan for her to be happy. I saw that she was unhappy and I don't like her being sad it hurts me that I'm doing something wrong. I guess I had to set a new plan up. today.
I woke up extra early and I got ready.
The surprise was that I was gonna sing 'back at one' by Brian McNights.
And I'm gonna have some of my friends
Be there to record it and one of my friend is gonna come out with a sign that says 'winter formal?'

» Skyler's POV «

I woke up and got dressed I was still sorta bummed about not having shawn ask me. just a strait up "yeah"
I was done doing my hair when I saw Shawn I smiled at him and we went to walk to school like usual.

"So I was thinking we could go walk at the park after school." Shawn said smiling at me.

"Sure" I replied.

"Do you not want to?" He asked as he stopped walking.

"No,no I do."

"Oh okay." he said walking again.
We reached the school and we had our regular day. at last period; Health I sat in the front corner of the room, where the window is. I just couldn't get over the thought of Shawn and the winter formal. I kept looking out the window with its finger prints all over it.

"And sickle cell anemia is called."

"Skyler." she picked on me.

"Um..a crisis?"
I replied.

"Yes."

My heart stopped for like a minute.

" and now before the be-"

RING

the bell rang as I grabbed my binders and headed out health and headed towards my locker. and after I met with Shawn after. we walked to the park and it was sunny and warm today.
Shawn lead me to a bench and we sat down.

"Okay Skyler sit right there don't move." he said as he got up.

I was really confused now. then behind a bush me got his guitar. and started singing and playing. everyone at the park were looking at us and recording.
Then I knew what was going on. he was asking me to the winter formal.
I covered my mouth with my hand as I was in awe.

Then when he was done his friend came out with a sign that says 'winter formal?' And Shawn had roses in his hand. I got up and ran to Shawn to give him a hug.

"Winter formal?" He asked me.

"Yes!" I said looking up at him.

"SHE SAID YES." he yelled and the people who watched started to clap and cheer.

"Shawn..i-I thought you'll never ask."
I said getting teary. making my vision go blurry.

"Awe don't cry."
He said leaning down giving me a kiss.

"I love you."

"I love you too." I replied hugging him again.

All his friends popped out and shawn thanked them and we watched the video they recorded.
After me and shawn went back home and I made dinner for all of us again.
I changed into my PJ's after and I fell asleep in Shawn's arms.
