Chapter 9» Winter Formal

» Skyler's POV«

I arrived at home with Shawn and we got ready to go to the winter formal.
I got my dress I picked out with Aaliyah and I put it on. I put on mascara and curled my hair. Then I put on lipstick and after,went out of the bathroom. I entered Shawn's room and he was doing his hair.

"Baabe" he wined

"What?"

"I can't do my hair!" he pouted.

"At least try again."

"I can't! It won't come out right!" He said pouting again. Getting frustrated.
I went to stand next to him and I looked in the mirror. it looked.
Weird? Okay horrible.

"I'll do it."
I said as I smiled at him in the mirror.

I held his hand and I took him to the bathroom. luckily he wasn't really dressed. so I put on the shower.

"Bend down and wash your hair."
I said as I fixed the water so it was warm.
After he fixed his hair I dried it and I fixed it up. so it looked suitable, after that he gave me a kiss and went to get dressed. when he was done he let me take a sneak peek at him.
He looked handsome; mostly cute.
We were both done so I grabbed my vans and slipped them on, along with Shawn. He gave a corsage and his mom and dad following along with Aaliyah came to take pictures of us.

I blushed a little and looked at Shawn.
And we took like 300 photos. until they let us go. when we we done taking pictures we went to walk to school.

"Skyler...you look really pretty tonight."

He said as he blushed and scratched the back of his neck.

"You look handsome yourself." I said smiling up to him.

Then we arrived. We all saw balloons out side the doors and other people with their dates to the formal. we were the only ones with vans. but whatever our style. We went in and their was music and snacks,balloons,a photo booth. it was amazing. I stayed near Shawn's side so I wouldn't get lost in the crowd.

We went to get snacks and drinks and just hanged out together. And took selfies. And danced a little bit.
The DJ then announced that he was gonna play a slow song before the king and queen will be announced.

So Shawn went on the dance floor and he pulled he in closer to him. So we slowed dance together. after the song was over we crowded the stage and the king was announced; Shawn
At this point I know it wouldn't be me.

"And the queen is.."
Shawn glared at me hoping it would be me. I looked at him shyly.

"The queen is Stephanie ︎Hayes!"
Shawn looked so sad. as I looked in his eyes. Surly he didn't want to dance with her. she went up on stage and they gave her her tiara. a girl game out with a price of paper from back stage and she whispered something to the Dj.

"I'm sorry for the inconvenience but they miscounted the votes wrong. Skyler Jenna has 63 votes and Stephanie has 58 votes, I went on stage and they have me the tiara, Stephanie just took it okay? I guess, as they placed the tiara on me everyone cheered.

"Shawn and Skyler the King and Queen!"

Every one made a circle and Shawn guided me to the middle, he places his hands on my waist and I place my hands on his shoulder. he pulled me in closer and The song 'thinking out loud' by Ed Sheeran played.
It was Shawns Favorite Song.
I looked up at shawn and I smiled at him.

"Just follow my lead." he whispered to me.

"Okay" I replied and he place his godhead on mine. as I followed along.
I could hear people record and take pictures of us. after the song ended we headed out. And Shawn gave me his jacket blazer As He gave me a piggy back ride home.

"Skyler..i really didn't want to dance with Stephanie.you got lucky."

I giggled and I gave him a kiss on the cheek. Leaving my lipstick mark on him.

"Oh my gosh Shawn I just made a lipstick mark on your cheek!" I said giggling.

"It's okay." he said chuckling.

"I had never had so much fun in a long time. I'm glad I got to spend it with you."

"Really?" He said smiling.

"Yeah silly." I said punching his arm.
We arrived to his house and I we got changed into our pJs.

"Ugh I'm glad I didn't wear heels my feet would of been so sore by now."

"Right."

I jumped on Shawn's bed faced down. and pulled my phone out of my joggers I had on. Shans joined me after. and we cuddled and soon fell asleep together.
