"The money is on the counter for the pizza! Oh, and no spills on the carpet or you will be cleaning it, missy. That goes for you too, Beck!" My mom struggled to spin around as I kept a forceful hold on her arm to usher her quickly out the door.
"Have a little faith in us, Mrs. Hill. Go have fun!" Beck called from the couch.
"Come on, honey. I'm sure they can handle being on their own for a few hours." my dad reassured my mom, who sighed heavily and finally stepped out the door.
"Bye guys, see you." I called, slamming the door behind me. I gave Beck a wide eyed stare while rolling my eyes. "Wow, only an hour to get them to leave. That must be a new record."
"I'm proud of you, I really am. So are the boys on the way?"
"Yeah, Harry said they were leaving like 10 minutes ago so they shouldn't be too long." I walked over to the little coffee table in front of the T.V. and placed Louis' birthday present in a bag.
"What did you get him?" Beck peeked over my shoulder eagerly.
"A shirt and a teddy."
"A teddy? Isn't he like, 21 now?"
"Twenty-one, shwenty-one." I muttered.
Beck laughed lightly before nearly falling from the couch when the door bell rang. She quickly sprang up and gracefully bounced over to the door, pulling it open with a ridiculously big smile appearing on her face.
"Hey, hey." I heard Niall say while all of the boys one by one piled into my living room.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME? LOOK AT ALL THESE FANCY QUOTES ON THE WALL!" Liam shrieked as he made his way over to the 'Life isn't measured by the amount of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away' quote plastered on the wall. He gazed at it, like it was the most amazing thing. I crinkled my forehead in confusion as to why he liked it so much, I thought it was the tackiest decoration in this house.
"Liam, why are you doing that?" Louis asked.
"I've always wanted a quote on my wall," Liam mumbled, turning away with an embarrassed look on his face when he realized how everyone was eyeing him with an odd expression.
"Well, you can't have one." Louis stated. "SO AS YOU ALL OF YOU KNOW, it's my birthday and Kennedy? I see a birthday bag on the counter, I'm assuming it's mine." He began walking over towards me with a smirk.
"You're right." I picked it up and handed it to him.
"May I open it?"
"You may." I nodded.
He smiled all giddy, and in that moment he resembled nothing of a 21 year old adult, but more like a child waking up on Christmas day. He pulled out the colored tissue from the top and shot me a small grin while he took out the teddy bear which had the words "Best Friend" in a heart on its tummy. It was quite cheesy but I knew it would be something Louis would like. He then pulled out the T-shirt and he unfolded it cautiously while everyone peered over his shoulder to see what the words on the front displayed.
"Kennedy, what is this?" he arched an eyebrow.
"Oh, that? It's the truth." I smirked.
"The truth? Is that so? Because KENNEDY IS BETTER THAN LOUIS," he flipped the t shirt around so those bold words were facing me, "doesn't seem like the truth to me."
I heard laughter roaring from everyone’s lips as they sat on the couch glancing back and forth between Louis and I.
"No, it is true I promise."
