perfect

saccharine eyes, shining to rival the sun

             satin strands,

flowing, smooth and lustrous

silken skin, fair and unblemished

            dainty nose,

elegant and endearing

lips of roses, full and flirtatious

        honeyed smiles,

gleaming teeth set straight

tall, but not too tall

thin, but not too thin

intelligent, but not too intelligent

             perfect.

why?

why must we glorify a person that

               does

                 not

               exist?

what is our problem with different?

would you rather the world be indistinguishable?

would you rather exist in a world that glorifies to be selfsame?

does it make you happy?

or would you rather exist in a world that glorifies distinction

to be uniquely and utterly yourself

no regrets

no dissatisfaction

for it is my solemn belief that everybody is beautiful

     why, you ask?

pure and simple:

to be yourself is something magical

something nobody will ever achieve ever again

something to be realised as good.

not bad.

and now, to ponder

why must that arched nose be 'inferior'?

why must a thinner lip be 'ugly'?

why must that shade of skin be 'bad'?

why must anything outside of the norm be shunned?

you might look in the mirror and find yourself having the 'desirable' features

and you know what?

love it.

not because its desirable,

but because it is part of you.

you might look in the mirror and find yourself having 'undesirable' features

and you know what?

love it.

because it is part of you.

all of this, is part of a body that lovingly works to see you alive and smiling, breathing, happy

how about we show some love back?
