The Last Time (Lena Luthor x Reader AU)

Nothing Lasts Forever.

Days after the breakup, you were nowhere to be seen.

Kara and the rest of your friends in CatCo are worried. They tried calling you, but it would always lead them to your voicemail.

"This is unlike y/n at all. She doesn't randomly disappear; we should call Lena now."

Nia suggested.

Kara sighed, agreeing with her friend. You weren't known for leaving without a trace. Your bosses are fond of you because you were always present whenever they needed you.

"Alright, here's the plan. Keep on ringing y/n's number; I'll go to Lena and ask her. If Snapper comes in looking for us, tell him y/n, and I am on some fieldwork."

After getting Nia's approval, Kara immediately used her superspeed to reach Lena's office.

Lena was fully emerged on her work after the breakup. She wouldn't let anyone bother her unless it's work-related. She kept herself busy in hopes that the image of your heart breaking by her words would leave her mind.

Kara appeared in the young Luthor's office just seconds after she left CatCo. Looking at how busy Lena was, Kara cleared her throat to make her presence known.

"Kara, what a nice surprise. To what do I owe the pleasure?"

Lena stated, surprised to see her friend inside her office. Even more surprised that she fearlessly used her powers in broad daylight without changing into her disguise.

"Lena..."

Kara started, worry etched in her face as she tries to ask Lena about you.

"I was wondering if y/n's alright. She's been gone for days. She wouldn't answer any of our messages. She's been absent from the office since last week."

Kara finished, worry and frustration now getting the best of the blonde woman in front of Lena.

The young CEO knew this day was coming, where she needed to tell your friends how she broke your heart. Lena mustered up all the courage to look into Kara's eyes, preparing herself for what she's about to say.

"I broke up with her."

Lena tells the blonde without any hesitation.

"You what?!"

Kara asked, surprised at the news that her friend dropped.

"I don't love her anymore. She's probably at her apartment crying or something."

Lena continued with no emotion.

Shocked at the news, Kara left the office without batting an eye towards her friend, too worried about how you've been dealing with everything that's happening without any of your friend's help.

The blonde doesn't believe a word that Lena had said. The whole 'I don't love her anymore' statement from the younger woman sounds completely ridiculous. She has seen the way Lena looks at you. The sparkle in her eyes whenever Lena sees you laughing. You were Lena's whole world... she was yours, and frankly, you were Lena's 'till the end of time.

Using her super speed, Kara rushed to get to your front door.

"Y/n? I know you're in there. I've heard about what happened."

Kara said as she gently knocks on your door.

She waited for you to answer, but even with her super hearing, she couldn't pick up any sound inside your apartment. Too worried about your well-being, Kara used her strength to break the locks on your door.
