Mias POV:
I sat myself down on Wheezies bed and she smiled up at me.
'Finally.' She laughed, pulling out her box of crystals.
'I love them they're so pretty.' I smiled.
'I find them along the beaches and the cliffs, come with me one day?' She asked.
'I'd love to.' I smiled.
'Wheeze can I talk to you?' I asked.
'Yeah go for it.' She replied.
'I like Rafe I really do, but I'm not sure if I'm biting off more than I can chew.' I whispered.
'I know what you mean, he's got a short fuse and he's definitely been a lot more mysterious recently but I know he's got a soft spot for you.' She said.
'Really?' I smiled.
'Of course, he's kept his room on lockdown and not spoken to anyone for weeks besides you.' She explained.
'Thanks wheeze.' I smiled, sighing a sigh of relief.
'You can text me if you ever need anymore help you know.' She added.
'Wheeze you're so much more mature than people my age.' I laughed.
'Here, have this.' She said, handing me a crystal.
'What is it?' I asked.
'Rose quartz, helps with love, self love, relationships and friendships. Keep it.' She smiled.
'Thank you.' I said, hugging her tightly.
'Get back to him I'm sure he's bored all alone.' She said, putting her box away and opening the door, persuading me to go back and see Rafe.
'I'll see you tomorrow, sleep well.' I said, waving goodbye to her and opening Rafe's door. His bedroom was empty.
'Rafe?' I called out, looking around the room. He was nowhere. I threw on a pair of his shorts and put his hoodie over the top of the tshirt I was already wearing, throwing on my shoes and running downstairs. I bumped into Rose and she looked at me worriedly.
'Where are you going sweetie it's late?' She asked, putting her glass of wine down.
'I was with Rafe and then I promised to go and look at crystals with Wheezie and when I came back he was gone.' I panicked, looking around.

'He went with Ward to find whoever was down on the boat.' She said, putting her hand on my shoulder to calm me down.
I opened the front door and thanked her.
'You know he wouldn't want you getting involved in this.' She whispered.
'I know.' I smiled softly, running to the dock. He was alone, Ward was nowhere to be seen. I ran towards him and hugged him as hard as I could, making him jump.
'I've got a gun in my hand Mia be careful.' He said coldly.
'I need to talk to you Rafe.' I said, grabbing his hand.
'Look I know you think what happened was a mistake and I understand.' He replied.
'No stop it wasn't.' I begged, trying to make him understand.
'Why are you already on birth control if that was your first time?' He snapped. I opened my mouth to give him an explanation but I shut it quickly. He turned away from me and I pulled him back.
'A couple of months ago I, I was attacked, and I spent months worrying that I was going to end up pregnant with a random mans baby, and I've been on it ever since, just to be safe.' I whispered. His mood instantly changed and he pulled me close.
'Who was it?' He growled.
'Rafe it doesn't-' I began.
'Who was it.' He snapped.
'Scooter.' I whispered.
I felt his arms clutch me stronger before letting go.
'Im so sorry.' I said, turning back towards the house.
He didn't move.
'Come with me.' I begged.
'No I need to go see someone.' He said, and I could see the anger in his face.
'Please.' I begged again, tears forming in my eyes. He looked towards the town and then back at me, taking my hand and leading me back to the house. I was still crying when we walked past Ward and Rose.
'Hey hey what's wrong?' Rose asked, pulling me into a hug.
'Nothing it's okay.' I smiled, taking a drink from her. I saw Ward and Rafe taking quietly behind me.

'I'll be back in an hour Rose.' Ward whispered, leaving before anyone could say anything.
'Take her to bed Rafe.' Rose said softly, sitting down on the sofa, looking for Ward who had already left. Rafe led me back upstairs and looked weirdly at the crystal on his bed.
'What's this?' He asked, approaching it nervously.
'Wheezie gave it to me, she said it helps with self love and relationships.' I replied.
'That's cute I like how much you get on with my family.' He smiled, moving it to his desk.
'Me too.' I replied, getting into his bed. I heard a truck pull up outside and looked out of the window, not remembering any of his family owning one.
'Stop.' Rafe warned.
I pulled the curtain to the side and he grabbed my wrist.
'Rafe.' I snapped, obviously hurt by his sudden outburst.
'Come to sleep.' He said, opening his arms for me. I looked at him cautiously before getting into bed with him.
'It was good you know, I'm really happy it was with you.' I whispered.
'I'll take care of you I promise.' He said, kissing my head and playing with my hair.
'How many girls have you, you know? Slept with?' I asked.
'I uh, I don't really want to talk about that.' He said awkwardly.
'Why?' I questioned.
'None of them were special, none of them meant anything like you do.' He said, moving my chin up so I was facing him. He planted a small kiss on my lips and took my jumper off so that I was more comfortable.
'Aren't you going to get undressed?' I asked, looking at him as he was still fully clothed.
'I will, sleep.' He said, stroking my head softly. I was too tired and too emotional to unpick everything he had said and done, and so I drifted off to sleep without another question being asked.
