Mias POV:
I didn't dare look to see who'd text me, but the house was silent and that notification was the only noise.
'Who was it?' He asked.
'I don't know.' I replied.
'Check.'
I slowly pulled out my phone and sighed in regret, skim reading JJ's text message. I slowly put my phone back into my pocket and looked up, to see my boyfriend clenching his jaw.
'Baby calm down.' I whispered.
'I told you he'd be like this, I knew he liked you.' He said, raising his voice.
'Rafe.' I warned. He got out his phone and looked for JJ's number, ringing it, sitting on the edge of the sofa.
'I swear to fuck if you text my girlfriend again I will kill you.' Rafe said, getting wound up just hearing the sound of JJ's voice. I ran upstairs to our room, packing away the few clothes I had hanging around in chairs, and putting any makeup into my suitcase. I then took it down to the kitchen and got anything that had been washing, putting that in too. Rafe was still threatening JJ, his arm leaning against the wall this time.
'Where are you going baby?' Rafe asked, moving the phone away from his ear.
'I'm going home, I'm done with this, I'm done with how you're acting Rafe.' I said sternly, calling for a taxi.
He ended the phone to JJ, throwing it onto the table, and walking towards me, grabbing my hand.
'Mia please, I can sort it.' He begged.
'I'm going home Rafe.' I replied sternly.
He continued to try and beg, tearing up, and getting angry, but I didn't budge.
'Fuck! Just stay with me for a few more days please!' He shouted, smashing his hand against the wall.
'Who says you can't come home?' I asked.
'I need to stay a few more days.' He whispered.
'Well I'll see you then.  I said quietly, watching as the taxi driver put my bag into the back of the car.
'But you're pregnant you could give birth at any time.' He whispered under his breath.
'I'm going.' I said firmly. Rafe locked up the house and helped me into the car, getting in besides me.
'What about your stuff?' I asked him.
'I'll get Barry to come collect it, I need to be with you.' He said, kissing my hand.
'Rafe I wanted to go back by myself.' I whispered, as I rested my head against the window of the airplane.
'I know and as soon as we're home I'll give you your space but I needed to be with you, I didn't want to be in a different country whilst you gave birth.' He said, for once, apologetically.

Topper🥰: hey, I miss you so much, I hope you're doing okay, not much change over here xx we all miss you

Me: hey Top, I'll see you very very soon, we're coming back so I can focus on labour, not long now! 👶🏻 I adore you so much, I really miss you xx

Topper🥰: that's so exciting! I'll get you room ready I can't wait to see you, we've got loads to talk about xx I love you

Me: okay, I love you too I'll see you then xxxx

I turned my phone off and began to drift off, I felt Rafe move my head from the window onto his shoulder, and I didn't even try and fight against him. I woke up as we landed, the uncomfortable feeling of my ears beginning to pop bringing me back to my senses. I smiled, at the view of the outer banks from my window, it felt like it had been forever. We landed quite quickly, and we're told to head home, my bags would be sent to us. I did, however, make sure to grab my main bag with a few clothes, and baby things in. Rafe swung his keys around his finger and unlocked his car, smiling at it as the car boot opened slowly for him.
'Missed it?' I asked.
'Lots.' He replied, taking my bag from me and putting it into the back of the car, getting into the drivers seat besides me.
'Look Rafe I'm sorry for everything.' I began.
'Baby girl you have nothing to be sorry for.' He interrupted.
I nodded, not wanting to take the conversation any further or mention JJ's name. We drove home to the light hum on the radio, but neither of us said anything until we drove through the cut, I held my breath, not waiting to see anyone I knew, for the sake of Rafe. He tensed his hands around the steering wheel and I saw his face tighten up.
'Hey.' I whispered, moving my hand assuringly onto his lap. He released his jaw and looked at me, giving me a genuine smile.
'It's okay baby I'm just being stupid.' He said, squeezing my hand, that was still on his leg.

We drove past Kie's restaurant and I turned my head to see if I could see anyone, nobody. John B's house still looked deserted but the light was left on, someone must've been in there. JJ's dad was sat on the front porch of his house, instantly telling me that JJ would be anywhere but in the same house as his father. I did see pope, driving past his fathers dock, he didn't seem to recognise me at first, but just as we were about to pass him I saw his face light up and he brought his hand up into an excited wave. When we landed back on our side of town though, I didn't feel as excited. We pulled up to my house a few minutes later, I'd told Rafe I wanted to see my brother for a little. He stopped the car and looked at me.
'Go on, I'll come and get you in a few hours.' He smiled sadly.
'I'm sorry I don't want this at all.' I pleaded.
'I promised to give you your space, take it, it'll help you.' He said, leaning over and grabbing my face, kissing me passionately. I got out of the car and waved goodbye to him, before turning and trying to open the door. It was locked. I sighed and bent down to get the key from under the mat, unlocking the door and throwing the key onto the table.
'Topper?' I shouted. No reply. I closed the door behind me and sat on the sofa, smiling, I was finally home. I didn't know wha to do first, but I finally decided on a shower, before putting on the clothes that of Rafe's that I had left here a very long time ago. They only just fit, and I was thankful that he was a lot bigger than me. I brushed my hair and made sure it was dry, before I heard the house door slam open.
'Why's it unlocked?' I heard someone whispered. There were footsteps towards my room and I opened the door, giving both Kelce and my brother a fright. He stood staring at me for a second before hugging me as tight as he possibly could.
'You're home.' He whispered.
'Surprise' I laughed.
'I've got so much to tell you.' He said, no smile on his face.
