Right so um i didnt end up putting out chapters so im just not gonna do a deadline but heres the next chapter! :3
Ruby let out a chocked gasp…it was the second time this week this had been happened
“Damn nightmares” Ruby whispered harshly, holding back tears after recalling the nightmare.
This had been going on for a while now.
Nightmares of Weiss and her getting hurt in the emerald forest and never being able to tell the
heiress how she felt about her.
“What would she even say if I did tell her "She whispered to herself as she turned to lay on her back
and stare at the celling.
She was painfully aware of the fact the heiress in question was just below her sleeping soundly,
without a hint of what was going through her partners mind.
She sighed softly “what am I going to do” silence filled the room…
After a few minutes of sitting there ruby climbed out of her bed, jumping down with a soft thud, she unlocked the door, making sure she brought her scroll so she wouldn’t get locked out before
stepping out of the room and going to the roof.
She walked to edge and carefully sat down, hugging her legs up to her chest
“Ruby?”
a voice called out to her
She turned around to see Cardin on the edge of the roof.
After the incident with jaune saving Cardin, he had stopped bullying people and even made friends with teams Jnpr and Rwby although Ruby especially had bonded with him over the love of weapons, turns out Cardin loved weapons as much as she did.
“oh, hey Cardin what are you doing up? "She asked.
“Well, I could ask you the same thing but I doubt you'll tell me "He walked up to ruby standing next
to her gazing at the broken moon with a slight smile.
“i had a nightmare.” she said quietly
Cardin looked down at her with a concerned while also curious face
“wanna talk about it?”he asked taking a seat next to ruby and dangling his legs over the edge
“Not really” he sighed.
“Was the nightmare about her?” he said
“Yeah, it was” there was silence for a few seconds before she continued “we were training in the emerald forest. It was only supposed to be simple training, just killing a few beowolves but then I
heard a scream and saw Weiss on the ground with huge claw marks across her back”
“I don’t know how she got them because there was no more Grimm around her and a Beowulf's
claws aren't that large I don’t remember much else other than Weiss being taken away from me the rest I don’t remember”
“ruby you need to tell her how you feel" he said putting his hand on her shoulder.
"but what if she dosnt like well… You know what?"
"ruby im dont really know weiss as much as i do you, but i know her enough to know that she wouldnt care she would still accept you no matter what" there was a pause for a few seconds before cardin felt a head bump itself on his arm "thanks cardin" he smiled and got up from where he was.
"Well its late do you want me to take you to your dorm or are you okay walking on your own?" he asked and held his hand out, waiting for her to take it and pulled her up from her feet.
"no its alright im okay walking back" he ruffled her hair and started walking back to his dorm which was below the roof "well ok, goodnight pipsqueak"
When he left silence filled the room once more however this time it was a comfortable silence.
"i think ill be okay" she said before starting to walk back to her dorm...
