It was nice. Being able to talk with Sasuke again. The stroll that you took together was peaceful, little needed to be said. Relief was evident on your features. Relief that he came home. Two years! Alone, no one else. Naruto as well....he lost his teme. You all did. It was strange not walking to the training grounds and the first thing you see being Sasuke. It always felt like there was a hole in your heart. Now he's back! The hole started to fill. Naturally, you didn't trust him yet. How could you? He left for so long, not caring about your cries and pleading for him to come home.

Shaking your head slightly, you pushed the thoughts away from your head.

He came home! That was what mattered. He left Orochimaru on his own accord.

Too absorbed in your thoughts, you accidently walked into someone.

"Oh! I'm so sorry...Kakashi Sensei?"

"Yo." Sure enough, it was your pervy sensei. "Sorry I didn't see you there (Y/n). The new Icha Icha book came out, and I'm kind of in a rush to finish it. Master Jiraiya wants my opinion on it."

"I will never understand your pervy books but~"

"(Y/N)! SASUKE! DOES NARUTO KNOW THAT YOU ARE BACK?"

The two of you sweatdropped at your sensei. "Kakashi sensei, Naruto brought Sasuke back," quietly you continued to mutter under your breath, "the entire village is probably gossiping about it."

You weren't sure why it bothered you.

Sure, he left the village on his own accord, but he was young. He must not have known any better. He can't be all bad after all.

Kakashi, breaking out of his stupor, gave an awkward cough. "I should be off now. It was lovely to see you again (Y/n). Also, welcome home Sasuke." Kakashi sneered over the word home. Sasuke's former sensei, was weary over the traitor. The grey haired sensei knew that the Uchiha boy was cunning. He must have had a real motive. After all, he was so hell bent on leaving the village.

At that moment in time, there was only one question running through Kakashi's head; Why the hell did he come back to the leaf?

By now, Sasuke and you had continued on your way. Your bodies were awfully close together. Your face showed no signs of discomfort. You seemed okay with this, the entire situation. In fact, you probably didn't notice. If Kakashi didn't know any better, he would have thought the two of you to be a couple. The thought was so absurd.....though it may just be true. The jonin felt his stomach drop with worry. He had vowed to protect you. You were his student. When Sakura and Naruto left, you stayed with him. You had the same bond that Tsunade had with Sakura.

Feeling extremely uneasy at the arrival of Sasuke, he left to go talk with Tsunade.

Why was Sasuke Uchiha allowed back without punishment?

It had been a couple of days since Sasuke was returned to Konoha. He took up residence at the Uchiha compound. He was more than thrilled to see that all of his items and things were still there.

Specifically his pictures of you.

They were all taken at different times. Some were while you were on a mission. Some were when you were asleep. Some were of your naked body as you stepped into the shower.
