My eyes fluttered open. The rays of hazy, warm sunlight peeked through my window, letting the darkness that once laid upon the room disappear. My eyelids were heavy after only 2 hours of sleep, most of the time spent on movies, rather than something productive like studying. My lazy self only managed to make flashcards, or flash sheets to be true, so that I could get them memorized at school. I tossed my blanket to the side and headed straight to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and combed my tangled hair. I gave myself one last look in the mirror, made sure I didn't forget anything and made my way out of the bathroom. I folded my blanket and placed it nicely on top of my pillow, then I headed out.

When I opened my bedroom door, the house was still quiet and dark. My parents were still asleep around that time, so breakfast wasn't available for me. I left through the front door, locking it with the keys I was given and there I was, walking to school at 6:00 a.m in the morning.

By the time I arrived, the school looked empty. No teachers, no students were around, the only person visible was the guard that passed out on his chair, presumably because of the lack of sleep. The hallways weren't any better, the absence of the usual laughters and chatters made me feel a bit strange, but I ignored it and made my way to the still operating elevator, and pressed on the third floor button. Lucky me, since they were usually closed.

I arrived, getting a glimpse of the classroom from the outside. From what I could tell, everything was clean and neat. Nicely arranged desks with chairs placed on top, no rubbish. It was honestly memorable, since that had never happened before. I took out my phone and took a picture, then I unlocked the door and entered the classroom.

I lifted the chair that was on top of my desk off, and I settled in. I opened my backpacks and took out all my sheets. They were a bit crumpled, but I could live with that. My surroundings were very quiet, making it a perfect location to study for your test.

I managed to get the first half done, but the arrival of my friend Dawson put my studying progress on pause.

"Hey! What's up-" He stopped right when he saw those sheets. He looked so confused and honestly I was about to burst out laughing right there and then.

"Cheating is not a very good thing to do," He said, rubbing his chin.

"God damn it, I'm not cheating you idiot. The sole purpose of these is revision," I emphasized revision, then I signaled him to go away. He quietly followed, approaching his own seat, sat down and collapsed onto the desk. Dawson wasn't the type to not study for a test the night before, so he seemed really at ease. What got me curious was why he'd been like that for those past few days, coming to class like he wrestled with someone 10 times his own size and passed out. When he wasn't asleep, he was more of a dork, but a nice one. I chuckled at my random thoughts and went on with my work.
