When I wake up, I realize that it's probably past noon. I glance down at the watch I have on my wrist and see that it's just now noon. I look over and see that Rick isn't there. I sigh and sit up, but then realize that I'm not suppose to be walking. So, what am I suppose to do?
Groaning, I lay back down and stare at the ceiling. Looks like I'm staying here today.
"Knock knock." I hear Daryl's voice. I sit up and scoot up towards the headboard before leaning against it. Daryl walks inside and sits on the edge of the bed.
"How ya feelin'?" He asks.
I shrug, "Okay. It doesn't hurt as much as it did. But it still hurts." He nods and looks around the room.
"I'll go get ya some food." Daryl says and leaves the room. I chuckle lightly to myself and realize I still don't have jeans on. Oh well.
"Mom!" I hear Lyndon's voice after a few minutes. I pull the covers over my legs when I hear his footsteps running up the stairs. He runs into the room and smiles at me.
"Mom, is it okay I go with Glenn and Uncle Daryl? They're going to go hunting."
"Have at it." I smile. He smiles back and runs out of the room. Wait...wasn't Daryl suppose to be getting me food? I guess that's what he meant though.
"Your kid has a lot of energy. He can run too." I glance at the door and see Rick holding a plate of food and a glass of water.
"Yeah. He does. And he was in track at school." I explain.
"Wow. Oh, uh...Daryl told me to bring you this." He says and places the glass on the nightstand. He hands me a plate making me smile.
"Thanks." I say. I look up at him and see him smiling at me. I begin eating my food, which wasn't much. It was some left over meat that we had and some pinto beans that I guess someone found.
Rick stays with me and occasionally makes small talk. But mostly he just watches and smiles at me.
When I finish, my mind begins to wander back to our kiss. I wish he would kiss me again, to be honest. But he probably won't. Or I could kiss him. But...eh, what the hell? It's worth a try.
"Come here." I say with a small smile. He bends down in front if the bed and our eyes meet. He smiles small before I lean towards him. I make the kiss short and sweet.
"Thank you." I add realizing all that he has done for me. He only nods and hums in response before he presses his lips to mine. I smile when he moves himself to the bed without pulling away from the kiss. His hand rests on my waist before he pulls away.
"Daryl basically thinks we should get together." Rick says as his thumb begins to rub my side. I raise an eyebrow at him.
"Why do you say that?" I question.
"He said that he knows I like you and that you needed someone like me in your life. So I took that as he thinks we should get together."
"What do you think?" I force myself not to smile.
"I'd like that. You?" He responds and I can tell he is now really nervous. I smile at him and push some hair out of my face.
"I'd like that too." Rick smiles at my answer and kisses my lips quickly.
"Well this is new." I hear a familiar voice. I turn towards the door and see Abraham and Eugene standing at the door.
"Glenn, Daryl and Lyndon are back. We have a visitor as well." Abraham says. Rick furrows his eyebrows at the red head.
