Chapter 4

Mina POV

Me and Mark walked to the carnival together. When we finally reached it, I saw Jr and avoided his eyes. Mark took me to all the rides and even bought me food. It was getting dark but we still stayed and rode the same rides over and over again. While walking through the big crowd, me and Mark got separated and I couldn't seem to find him. "Mina!" Mark shouted multiple times but we couldn't find each other. Out of no where, I felt a tug at don't wrist and was taken to an empty space where no one could find me. I felt a body touch mines in this tight space. I look up and saw Jr's eyes. We stared at each other for a minute. "What do you want?" I said. "I'm sorry. For Joy's behavior." he said. I told him it didn't matter anymore. As I try to leave, Jr only pulled me closer to his embrace. Our faces only inches apart. I left and went to find Mark. Finally, I found him and we walked home.

Mark POV

I lost Mina in the crowd. As I searched for her, I see a familiar face. It was the sight of Jr. We made eye contact and he smirked at me. As if he was threatening me. She I found Mina, I was relived. Soon, that feeling went away when I saw Jr take her. I quickly follow them and saw their body close together. Mina was resisting but it looks like Jr wouldn't let her go. We reached a bus stop and waited for the bus. When it came, we entered and sat down. I saw that Mina was tired. Her head slowly tilted and fell into my shoulder. I look at her face but only thought of earlier. While on the bus, we hit a bump and Mina's head falls down and I catch her. While placing her back on my shoulder, I saw her pink lips and stared at them. How could she not see that I like her. Without hesitating, I carefully place my lips on hers. For a few seconds then I moved away. I smiled and was happy. I knew she wouldn't remember it or feel it. When we reached our neighborhood, I woke her up and we got off the bus. While walking home, she looked exhausted and kept twitching her eyes and keeping them open. "Mina. Let me carry you on my back" I said. She denied but I carried her anyways. "Thank you Mark" she said as we reached her house. she got off my back and went home. I stared at the sight of her back and went home as well. I lay down on my bed and thought about today. Of the kiss in the bus. I thought of Mina's smile and went to sleep.
