Chapter 5

Mina POV

When I woke up, I was relived since school was over. I got rest and headed out the door to hang out with Mark. We went to a street market and hung out there. It was a sunny yet windy day. "Mina! Come eat this!" Mark shouted at me. I nodded and ate what he gave me. Within a few seconds, I immediately spit it out and smack Mark. He laughed and handed me water. We walked down the street and saw Joy and her friends. They came up to me and told me to leave. I didn't leave and just stood still. "Not gonna go huh?" Joy said while she and her friends lift up a tube of dirty water and dump it on me. "That'll teach you to leave Jr alone" she said and walked away laughing. I wiped the water away and ran away. I stop because the wind made my clothes cold. I sit down on a bench and look down as the sun shone on me. After a few minutes, Mark walked up to me and sat down.

Mark POV

I sat down next to Mina and stared at her. She was shivering and cold. I quietly took off my sweater and wrapped it around her. "Thank you" she said and stood up. I stood up as well. We walked back to our neighborhood and went our own way. While walking home, I turn around and saw the back sight of Mina. I look down and felt upset. It wasn't until a few days till we hung out again. She was as bright as ever even though I knew something was bothering her. She said goodbye to me and left. I then went home and lay on the ground of my room thinking of Mina.

Mina POV

After hanging out with Mark, I walked home alone. While on the path home, I saw Jr across from me and we stood still as we look at each other. I walk up to him and pass him. I then heard footsteps behind me and knew it was him. "Mina. Hold on" he said. I ignored him and walked on. He then grabbed my hand and took me to an alley where no one would notice us. He was still holding into my hand as we stare at each other. "Let go of me" I say quietly. Jr didn't listen to me and grips my hand harder. "I'm sorry" he said. "Joy is just a bit crazy" Jr explained. I nodded and told him to let me go. Jr then slowly pushes me against a cement wall and stares at my eyes. "Jr?" I say. He then presses his lips against mines and kisses me. I try to pull away but couldn't. When I finally push him off me, I left and was angry. I ran home and went to bed trying to shake off what happened. Soon, my eyes become shut as I fall asleep.
