"You don't have to help me with the paper works now, love." William spoke, his scarlet eyes gazing at her with utmost concern."I don't mind at all, it's the least I could do for you besides I don't want you to be burdened with all this." Emilia shook her head as she continued with her work.
It was late night and they were doing the paper works, in addition to his future plans for their goal.
William sighed as he placed the books down at his table and he walked upto Emilia. He could see how tired she was yet here she was helping him with his works.
"I think this much is enough, you should get plenty of rest for tomorrow I don't want you to be tired and weary tomorrow because of me" he caressed her free hand causing her to stop writing further.
"The same can be said for you too Will, I don't want you to be sick as well. Due to your all-nighters, you fall asleep almost anywhere at anytime. Falling asleep at couch...Even when you are eating...The last time you even fell asleep in the bathtub! If I wasn't around you would have drowned completely....."
She let out a sigh completing her sentence, "That's why from today I will be helping you every night with the paper works so I can assure that you are getting good amount of sleep."
She rubbed her temples looking at him, "How about you rest now? I will finish this tonight, you don't have to worry about me"
He shook his head and replied, "Who am I to sleep when my dear wife is working for me? Let's sleep together when our work is done okay?"
Finally convinced, she nodded happily and hugged him. William smiled at the physical touch and reciprocated the hug affectionately.
"I should give you a reward for your help shouldn't I?" he placed his hand on her chin and kissed her lovingly before she could respond.
The kiss was short yet full of affection which both of them enjoyed. "E-Eto thank you" Emilia muttered not knowing how to respond so suddenly.
"Much appreciated" William smiled as he got back to his table and started doing his work.
Both of them were impatiently doing their paperwork's as they couldn't wait to snuggle together in the bed.
Their thoughts were cut off as a certain someone knocked on the door loudly. "William! Emilia!" Moran called out from outside."Moran at this hour at Durham? Shouldn't he be at London?" Emilia questioned. "We will soon know the answer, love" William answered back, the darkness hiding the smirk his face was holding currently cause he knew Moran had something to be dealt with.
"Come in" William responded to Moran's earlier words. The door soon opened revealing a worried Fred and a confident Moran who were stepping in the study room.
"Fred, you are here too?" Emilia stopped her paper works and turned around to see the two persons that visited the manor this late. And so did William, both of them giving their full attention to the two people.
"I-I have information for you William-san..." Fred spoke, the hesitation still in his voice and face.
"Here, some herbal tea it will help you relax" Emilia poured some in a cup and handed it to Fred, who sniffed the aroma and loosened up. He drank it all, soon relaxing himself.
"Thank you Emilia-san" Fred handed her the cup which she took hold of and placed it aside. "Relax alright?" Emilia smiled sweetly which helped Fred gain his composure back.
"Like Emilia said, you can take your time and start from the beginning" William joined in."Yes!" Fred took a deep breath and started telling the story he heard of...
