After a few days of the event that took place, the household started getting lively as usual along with their tasks of punishing bad nobles. Everything went back to normal well except for the two...

Emilia was laying down on her bed with no other presence beside her began taking looks at her hand which she cut during the time their plan was going on. She sighed as she caressed them for a while. She never showed them to William cause she knew that if she did than he would definitely take the blame to himself and she would definitely not want that.

It's true that it was all a plan but the thing the couple never told the others or Mavis is that...it was never discussed with Emilia. Right, the household members are thinking that the plan was planned all along with everyone having a beneficial part of knowledge but that was never really the case...

Emilia discovered it all only when the fake bullet hit her forehead, at that moment she collected all the parts and the bullet being the final touch led her to a conclusion that it was a plan all along. She wouldn't like to brag it but it was true that if she didn't use her smartness at that time than the results would have been a lot worse.

And she was quite mad at William for that and felt slightly betrayed even though she knew that it was all just a plan. And maybe she knew the reason why he did it...

When she was lost deep in her thoughts with no care of existence of any other William entered the room with a face which was obviously looking for forgiveness and layed down on the bed next to her.

The sudden move lead Emilia to jolt in surprise. "Will?!--- You scared me..." She sighed in relief not noticing that her injured hand was visible to him. He swiftly yet gently grabbed her hand and stared at it with guilt and regret. She broke free of his grasp and turned to face the other side mumbling, "Don't pay heed to that, it was just an act so that the spies would believe that...you cheated on me." She quickly made up an explanation though she was definitely sure that he will end up knowing the truth.

True to that, William did know it all...
He didn't know what he should do at this point, he knew that he was a very bad husband but at the same time also knew that it was necessary since he is the Lord of Crime. God! Was it hard for him to play all the roles at a time also he had to set aside his University work for the moment and it was pretty easy to guess that there were dozens of papers awaiting him in his study.

As if Emilia read his mind she murmured still not facing him that is... ,"...Shouldn't you be in your study doing the paperworks? I am fine so you can do them instead."

"...No it isn't needed my love. You are my top most priority and we need each other in this difficult time don't we?" His words being filled with honesty led Emilia's eyes to shed tears.

"William..." Emilia finally turned to his side and embraced him in a hug which became tighter by each tears she shed. William let his right hand embrace her protectively while the other was petting her head to calm her down.

"*hiccup* I am sorry." Emilia managed to utter in between her cries. "I am the one who should be apologising so don't be sorry Emilia." He spoke with guilt as he wiped her tears and gave a loving kiss to her forehead.

"I love you William." She lovingly stated while her eyes glinted with affection. "I love you too Emilia." His eyes turned softer as he declared his emotions to her. They broke the distance between them with a passionate yet loving kiss which meant that they had mended their unstringed path to the future.

It was followed by a comfortable silence between them while they cuddled each other comfortably in each others arms until Emilia broke the silence.

"Why did you not tell this to me earlier?" She questioned with a curious face which slightly made him stiffen up. "That---" William was cut off by Emilia who delivered him a loving kiss. "You know very well that I know the reason don't you?" She cupped his cheeks which made him sigh in defeat.
