This is awful, Hannah thought to herself. I can't possibly... no... it's ridiculous! "Ridiculous!" She yelled, too late realising she was in a public place.
"Huh?" She looked over. Mamrie, that is.
"Oh, nothing, just a really stupid comment on Twitter," Hannah quickly covered, holding her phone for Mamrie to see.
"Okay, but we are in a library," the redhead laughed, "Maybe we should save those ridiculous tweets for later?"
Hannah nodded, pocketting her phone and getting up from the table she was sitting at.
"What are we even doing in here, Hannah? You know I don't read!"
"My internet's down, remember? I came in here to find a good recipe, but they have free wifi here anyway so I've found one online. Honestly, I was just waiting for you."
Mamrie smiled. "Cool, gimme two minutes."
Hannah watched her best friend sweet talk the twenty-something male librarian for a while, before deciding she couldn't take it any longer. She began to walk through the isles, finding her thoughts scrambled by the day's events.
She had slept over at Mamrie's house last night, as they had filmed a hilarious YDAD with Grace and in the morning, Mamrie had made the three of them pancakes for breakfast. Hannah remembered thinking Mamrie had looked gorgeous in her cute, lacey night clothes.
No, Hannah reminded herself. She looked good, in a friend way. Just a friend way.
Then, Mamrie took Hannah shopping. They'd tried on clothes and Mamrie had bought a cute, polka-dot dress, with cream lace. Hannah remembered thinking she wanted to kiss Mamrie just then.
On the cheek, nicely! Hannah caught herself. In an I'm-so-proud-of-you-you're-awesome kind of friend way. Because that's what we are. Friends.
Then, they'd got lunch in a local cafe. They got sandwiches and Hannah had watched Mamrie lick a smear of butter from around her lips. She-
Stop it, Hannah. Just...
"Uggghhhh!!" Hannah groaned, loudly.
"Hannah?"
"Oh, hey Mames, done chatting up Book Boy over there?" Hannah teased, playfully, taking herself out of her memories.
Mamrie laughed. "Yeahhhhh... he wasn't really my type. But he said he could get me a deal in some of the local bookstores!"
"Mamrie, you don't read."
The taller Hart frowned. "That's not the point, Hannah." And then both of them laughed. "Ahhh, you're right though Hannah. I don't read. So, let's get out of this creepy, old place and go watch films."
Mamrie slung her arm around Hannah's shoulder - Hannah liked it when she did that - and giggled as the pair walked out of the door.
