Hannah sat alone on the floor of her living room, staring, dumbfounded, at the closed door.

How could she think that Swike and I...?

But I've only ever loved...

"Hello? Er... hello? Earth to Harto, do you read me?"

Hannah didn't even realise she'd called Mamrie, until the redhead's voice blared through the phone. She'd gotten so used to going to her whenever she was troubled, somehow now she could do it instinctively.

"Mamrie? Oh right, Mamrie! Mamrie..." Hannah stumbled, trying to work out what she was going to say.

"Oh please, take all the time you need. I'll be here until 2052," Mamrie teased. "Or, at least until Real Housewives starts at 10. Make it quick, Hart!"

"You wanna watch Real Housewives 'round mine?"

"Hannah, you hate Real Housewives," said Mamrie, not taking the bait. "Also, I just left yours. Is something up?"

Hannah was silent. She didn't know what to tell Mamrie over the phone - the conversation she wanted to have needed to happen face-to-face.

"I'll be there in 10."

"We should tell her."
"We can't... what would she think?"
"She'd think, 'awww the Hartsquared ship has set sail forever and ever... and ever...'" Mamrie echoed herself comically.

But you don't know, Mamrie. You don't know what she'd think. She must be finding it hard enough to cope with the prospect of never getting my love... what will this do?

"Don't you think she'll be a little, well, jealous?"
Mamrie cackled and Hannah smiled at the sound. But her expression returned to neutral once she realised what Mamrie was laughing about.
"It's not funny, Mames," Hannah wined. She looked down at her toes and hugged her knees into her chest. "I'm scared."

Mamrie shifted closer to the short-haired blonde, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and resting their heads together. "Don't be."

The two girls sat together on Hannah's couch, their bodies curling into one another as their breathing became one. They moved in synchronisation as Mamrie placed a finger beneath Hannah's jaw, lifting her head to meet the redhead's soft lips. The younger girl sighed, moving her lips with Mamrie's and placing her hand tentatively on her girlfriend's waist. Mamrie took Hannah's hand and held it tightly, as the two moved into a deeper, more passionate kiss. Hannah felt Mamrie's tongue gently stroking her lips, asking for entrance and she let out a soft moan as she let it penetrate her. The blonde moved her tongue together with the taller woman and she felt warmth run through her veins as Mamrie deepened the kiss further. Wrapping themselves up in each others' arms, the two of them softly broke away, opening their eyes to stare at one another and smile.

"I'm not so afraid anymore," Hannah whispered.
Curling up closer to the blonde, Mamrie nibbled Hannah's ear and replied, "Nor me, Harto. Nor me."
