42 - Virus' HQ

Katsuki's POV
She glared back at me, "congratulations, the fuck do you want? A medal? You really thought I was just gonna let him get away with what he did!?"

No, obviously not. 

She continued, "Makia was everything to me! She was all I fucking had and you want me to just sit here and let your little government lap dogs take him off to prison to live on peoples taxes with free food and tv and shit? Please."

Her knife was still pressed against my neck and her form was perfect, but she had tears running town her face, smudging the black paint that worked like a mask over her eyes.

I let go of her throat and stepped back as she continued.

"Look, I know you let me stay with you because you wanted information out of me. I know you used my sister's situation to manipulate me into complying with you and eliminate the threat that I pose to society. I know that you couldn't give a fuck about what happened at the hospital and you were just trying to keep me on your side. I fucking know that."

To an extent, she was right- I had no reason to give a fuck about any of this.

I exhaled, "are you done?"

"What?"

I dropped the bag from my back and pulled out a helmet, tossing it to her, "let's go, then."

"I don't understand."

"You wanna deal with Virus your way, fine. I don't give a fuck. Let's go."

We stopped by my office so she could change into her hero uniform and pick up her weapons.

"You don't have to do this."

"Tch. Just hurry up."

We arrived near Virus' headquarters about half an hour later, I took off my helmet and turned to Shadow as she sighed, "I was gonna call for the league, but I can't do that now that I'm dressed like this."

"We don't need the shitty fucking league, either of us could handle this guy on our own."

She released one of those arrows that she had requested from Azira, handing me some of the rope, "I don't get it, what do you even gain from this?"

I huffed, snatching the rope out of her hands and as she tugged it, it slowly began twisting around itself, pulling us up the building, "it's what I need to surpass Deku, I told you before- I will be the number one hero."

"So, if you wanna be the number one hero... you have to take down the number one villain?"

I could've just handed her in and it should've been enough, but-

"Something like that."

"I'm still confused. How are you gonna justify coming here without everyone else?"

"Stop asking questions and fucking focus- ugh, can't this thing go any faster!?"

She sighed and tugged harder on the rope, sending us rushing up the building.

As we slid through one of the higher up windows, she asked, "and if I do murder him?"

It was almost as if she hadn't done her research; I've never specialised in rescue or public service, they've always been subcategories in my job, what I'm best known for is kicking villains asses. I've sent countless villains in ambulances straight to ER, and many more six foot underground.

"Don't you listen? Deal with the bastard however you want, just hurry your ass up."

We followed the route that we planned to follow on the mission to the room where we'd supposedly find Virus.

She nodded in the direction of the room and lowered her voice, "go ahead, Great Explosion Murder God Dynamite."

"Who told you-"

Shitty hair.

"Tch. Forget it."

I jumped to my feet and blew up the door, Shadow quickly following behind me into the room.

As the smoke cleared up, I glanced over at her to see her frozen in place looking like she had just seen a ghost.

"Why the fuck are you-"

I followed her eye line to the person ducked down on the floor, covering from my explosion as she choked out, "Levi?"
