Summary: What happens when Dean's pent up feelings boil over?

—————————

Walking through the bunker halls, you found yourself bored. The sound of bickering coming from the library, capturing your attention. Deciding you would go and investigate, you found yourself standing flat against one of the walls in silence eavesdropping on the conversation.

"You have to tell her!"

You identified the voice as Sam's.

"Would you keep your voice down!" Dean responded mirroring his energy.

Scrunching your eyebrows together, your heart fell into your stomach. Leaning your head against the wall, your throat became extremely dry, as the pounding of your heart made it to your ears.

"Y/N?"

Gasping, you jumped at the person before you.

"Shh!" You whisper yelled, grabbing Jack's wrist, yanking him behind you.

Jack let out a soft giggle. "What were you doing?"

"Don't speak of it." You sternly stated over your shoulder.

Shrugging, Jack continued to allow you to pull him behind you. Deciding it would be best to speak in your room, that's where you led him. Once the door was closed, you let out a sigh of relief.

"What were you doing?" You finally questioned, once your mind came to, raising an eyebrow in the process.

Before you could stop yourself, you spoke in unison with Jack. "Looking for Nouget's."

Rolling your eyes, your eyes the corners of your lips turned up as a gentle laugh tumbled from your lips. "I should've known."

Letting out another sigh, you made your way to your bed and sat beside Jack. A comfortable silence fell upon you, just as the door to your room opened, revealing a confused looking Dean.

Turning his gaze from you to Jack before returning to you, he opened and closed his mouth several times, before a sigh of disappointment passed his lips. Shaking his head, he dropped his attention to his shoes before turning on his heel to leave.

Your heart started beating rapidly, as your stomach churned. "Wait!" You yelled, hand jolting out and clasping around Dean's wrist in hope of preventing him from retreating any further.

Dean turned back around to face you, his features etched with a sadness you hadn't seen before. "I, uh, I should go." His hoarse voice breaking the silence that had enveloped the three of you.

"Dean..." Your voice trailed off. "It's...It's not what it looks like."

"And what do you think it looks like?" He questioned tilting his head slightly as if he were a cat.

"It.." The words became trapped in your throat as your mind continued racing.

Shaking his head, he took in a sharp breath. "It's none of my business, anyway."

Gently tugging his wrist free, your hands fell to your sides all the while your heart shattered.

As Dean walked away, you couldn't help but stare at his built flannel clad back, seeing the slight muscles move with each step he took.
