Please enjoy yet another imagine that has been floating around in my head for awhile!
It was a cold Winter morning, in the Michigan woods. Deciding to step out onto the cabin porch, you could see every breath you took. Soaking it all in, made you feel calm. There was a storm that was about to hit, but you weren't sure when. The Gates of Hell have been opened, and all Hell was about to break lose. It was the 'Calm Before the Storm' so to speak.
Moments like these, didn't come around too often. The warmth radiating off the mug that was warning your hands. It was a spur of the moment trip, deciding that it would be good for both you and Castiel to take a little break. Charlie, had called you with a '911′ hacking emergency, there was a little bit of humor in the situation. Since, Charlie had been the one to teach you, now you were the one to teach her, a 'Student has surpassed, the master,' situation if you will. You knew that Charlie would find the humor in it, so you had to tell her. The reaction you revived from her was unexpected, she snorted and wheezed with laughter.
Sometimes, on the rarity, you missed being 'normal'. Meaning, that you wished you could have everything and everyone you had now, minus the constant impending doom looming over head.
"What's bothering you?" a monotone voice pulled you from your thoughts.
"Oh you know, the end of the world as we know it, just normal things."
You were close to all the boys, however Jack and Castiel seemed to cling to you like a lifeline, it didn't bother you because it made you feel needed, like you had a sense of purpose.
"You shouldn't worry about that. The world is in great hands, between you, Sam and Dean."
"Don't forget about you and Jack."
"Yes, but we're not hunters."
"That doesn't mean anything."
Castiel smiled at your comment. Standing next to you, it was silent. Not an awkward silence, but a calming, in the moment type of silence.
"We should probably pack up the car. We have a long drive ahead of us."
"I don't know why you insisted on driving, I could've just-"
"Then you wouldn't get the full human affect Cas."
"What does driving long hours have to do with that?"
"That's called a 'Road trip' Cas. People often do it for fun, and vacations."
"Why would someone want to do that?"
