Chapter 36 - secrets

My heart was basically just beating, but I don't think I was alive at that point. My mouth was still hanging open, my eyes were still widened and i still couldn't process the whole thing.

It felt like a nightmare. As if someone would come and wake me up any moment from then, I was even waiting for that to happen but it didn't, what I dreaded to think about was the truth, and it was playing right in front of my eyes, all I had to do was come to terms with it but you see, it's easier for a camel to pass through the hole in a needle than for that to happen. I don't think I will ever get over this.

"This cant be" Andrew spoke, bringing the awkward silence to an end.

"Yeah, maybe she's being used as a decoy" Trent agreed "don't worry ruby, you don't have to be afraid, we're here now and we'll save you, Okay?"

For a second I felt at ease, thinking that maybe Trent's words could be true, but the look on her face said the absolute opposite and therefore, burnt my little hope down to ashes.

"Shocking right?" She Asked In a dangerous tone "I know! But don't let that make you guys push yourselves into denial"

Oh my God I just want to cry.

"Why, Ruby?" I Asked moving a bit closer "Why did you do all these things to me? What did me and my sister ever do to you?"

"First of all, my name is not Ruby, it's Kimberly. Secondly, I only gave the both of you what you deserved, and trust me, that was not even half of the hell I saw and was forced to go through" she said, and then clapped her hands loudly "BRING HIM OUT!" Suddenly, two men bursted out of a door with another man in their hold, he was all wounded and worn out with a mask on his face. They dropped the man on the floor and then went back to where ever they came from.

"Who is that?" I Asked.

She didn't respond, she just pulled the mask off, making my heart stop instantly, eyes widen and mouth fall agape.

It was my father.

"DAD!" I screamed in horror and tried to run towards him Along with Trina but Kimberly pulled a gun out of nowhere and pointed it directly at us, ready to fire.

"Not another step, or I will blow your fucking brains out!" She warned, making me gulp. Jadon immediately pulled me closer to him to stop me from going to my dad like I So badly wanted to while Andrew held a hysterical Trina.

"How could you do this to us Ruby? Through out the time we spent together, I always made sure that you had a smile on your face, I've been nothing but kindhearted to you, so why? Why would you do such a horrible thing to me and my family?" I Asked with a cracked voice, trying so hard to hold my tears back.

"Okay, if you call me ruby again, I will rip your jeans off and write that stupid name on your bare thighs with a fucking knife!" She spat "and  really? Did you just say that You've been nothing but kindhearted to me? You and your sister are the reason why I was left alone, you're the reason why I never had anyone to look up to or call my own, you're the reason why I never had a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on, you're the reason why I was grew up and was forced to raise myself by myself in this abandoned building when I was only 5 years old, you both are the root of all my problems, and you dare say that you've been kindhearted to me? fuck you!" She yelled.
