Mess with your heart

On a normal day, Katie would not have locked herself in her room, played dead for half the day, but today was not a normal day.

Something big had happened yesterday, Keith, her fathers enemy had kissed her, but the problem was, that she didn't let him into her shell. One second she was in a heated battle, the next she was in a heated kiss.

But the thing about it was that the last person she had dated (yes,shockingly) had left her abandoned, literally, in the middle of the woods.

She had been used to get part of her fathers money. Her heart has been messed with. Katie didn't want that to happen again, but the problem was...

She liked Keith.

A lot.

And she didn't know what do. So, of course, she had called over a special someone for girl talk.

Nadia Rizavi

Her best friend.

They were both for women's rights so the bonded, also her father was a general so yeah.

"Katie!!!!" Came Nadia's voice.

"Nadia! I am so glad you could make it!!" Katie exclaimed.

Nadia came running in, she grabbed Kosmo, ran to the bed a plopped him on her lap.

"So what's the emergency? If you tell me you fell in love with Lance- it'll be horrible!!" Nadia questioned.

Katie blushed.

"No! Of course not!! Gross!! It's a different guy, his name is Keith." Katie explained.

She quickly provided Nadia with all the information about what had happened.

Nadia listened and nodded.

"First of all, you are hopelessly in love, and two, I don't think Keith will hurt you the way that scumbag hurt you. Keith sounds to sincere to do something this evil. So, you should tell him to meet on the roof, ask him what he thinks, and bring you dagger. Maybe you just need to let him into your shell." Nadia said.

"Yes Nadia, I know, but what if he messes with my heart? It was so horrible the first time, I don't think I can go through that again." Katie sobbed. She leaned onto Nadia's shoulder.

"Katie you have to take this risk, you can't keep hiding in your shell, come out, winters over." Nadia said gently.

Katie nodded and wiped her eyes.

Arrangements were made, and Katie was to meet Keith on the roof at midnight.

Time skip to midnight

Katie had her legs swinging off the roof when she saw a special mullet sit down next to her.

" Hey," Keith said gently.
"We need to talk," Katie said.
Keith nodded.
"Listen, I need to know if I can trust you." Katie stated looking down.

Keith looked shocked.

"Of course you can trust me!! I would never do anything to you." Keith exclaimed. He put his hand on hers, but Katie flinched away.

"What's wrong?" Keith asked gently.

"The last guy who I was with h-he abandoned me I. The woods and used me to get my dads money, I was used." Katie looked at him with tearful. "He messed with my heart, I can't do that again."

Keith looked shocked.

"Katie. I would never do anything to you. So don't worry, I won't mess with your heart." Keith tilted Katie's face towards him. " Your going to be number one priority, ok?" Keith said gently.

Katie nodded.

She opened her mouth to say something, but was caught in a kiss.

Katie basically melted into him. Keith wrapped his arms around her.

When they pulled away for breath Keith leaned his forehead against Hera and whispered.

" You are my everything Katie."
