Vanilla Twilight

This fluffy little oneshot is set back in 2009, when Dan and Phil talked in Skype and had only seen each other in real life a few times before. Listen to the song Vanilla Twilight while listening to it xx.

One night, after skyping for several hours with Phil, Dan Howell lay in bed and started thinking about the whole thing. He hadn't had a best friend his whole life, and then suddenly he met Phil, who was so much like him, who was so funny and sweet and cute.

He pulled out his iPod and put in his headphones and turned on the new owl city song, Vanilla Twilight.

"Waist deep in thought because when I think of you I don't feel so alone." He sang softly.

That really described him with Phil right now. Phil made him feel so happy, like someone really cared about him.

"Oh darling I wish you were here." He sang again. I wish Phil were here. I wish we could stay up talking all night about everything and nothing.

They'd filmed a video called Phil is Not On Fire a few days ago. It was the most fun he'd had in a long time.

Some...Interesting things had happened while they were filming that. Let's just say, our cat whiskers got pretty smudged from what we did. We edited it out of course. Couldn't let anyone know that they were both gay. I mean not even out parents knew.

Dan took out his phone and texted Phil, "Goodnight Phil, you really are amazing."

Phil was the best friend Dan could have ever asked for.
