Later in the 4th Era, The Argonians were hit hard. A floating Soul-Fueled city known as Umbriel moved over the city of Lilmoth in Black marsh. Summoned through Black Marsh by the An-Xileel and a Rouge Hist Tree; Destroying and Killing all foreign Entities and Assimilated Argonians. That was where Raz Mkeel and his group were held up that day. Raz was out learning from the nearby Hist, and when he returned, Lilmoth was destroyed. Along with his allies.
Raz told the Elder Hist that he was fleeing to a safe land, a promise land, where he didn't have to fight for his freedom from the dark Elves.
This place was Skyrim. Before Raz left, the Elder Hist gave him an odd Saxhleel power, many think it was more years of life, which is why he has lived very long for an Argonian, but that is uncertain.
