Black shining eyes he sure had,
I fell hard and deep it was that bad.
His love was the treasure I longingly kept,
"Us" was a precious little secret.
It was a moment I had to remember,
That all those merry times felt like forever.
He put his hand on mine and bonded them together,
We were so happy that makes it sadder.
Lost the three words he used to say,
I laughed and said "I am okay."
I risked my everything to drift away,
Just so I could love him in those cold days.
After the rainbow it rained once again,
The pot of treasure wasn't at the end.
"Happy" turned into a blurry illusion,
This love was defeated by life's limitations.
