It's been a while since the Stormterror incident. The crowds in Monstadt soon came back to when it was before, lively and happy. Distinct chattering heard from afar.
Aether smiled to himself as he watched the busy crowd. He decided to take a visit to the Knights of Favonius' Headquarters. Maybe ask how Amber, Jean, or Lisa was. What he didn't expected though was Kaeya, deep in thought.
"This is bad...such a hassle...what am I going to do?" He mumbled to himself, lost in thought that he didn't noticed Aether's approaching figure with his flying friend.
"You don't usually lose your cool." Aether points out and Kaeya was a bit startled but he soon gave a look of relief.
"Oh, thank the Thousand Winds! Aether, your arrival must be the grace of the gods!" Kaeya said, dramatically. "If I may ask- envoy sent by the Anemo God to save this mere mortal- could you spare a moment?"
"Ewwww, cut it out!" Paimon exclaimed, rolling her eyes. Aether just sighed to his companion's dramatic reaction.
"Can't say I don't have time...""Marvelous!" Kaeya cheered. "I cannot let my peers know about this. I cannot seek help from anyone but you."
"No need to be that dramatic." Paimon said once again. Kaeya only chuckled to her response. "Please, let us move to somewhere more fit for such conversations. Let's talk in the courtyard just outside the headquarters. Come with me.""What's with the sneakiness..." And before Aether can even have a chance to ask, Kaeya was already off on his way. Aether facepalmed and sighed to himself, following Kaeya's trail.
He found him sitting on one of the benches that were in front of the small water fountain, just behind the huge windmill.
"This place will do." Kaeya said, tapping to the seat beside him to which Aether soon joined.
"Tell us what it's about already!" Paimon impatiently put her arms on her hips."How should I begin...oh right. Let me tell you a secret first. It's a secret of my past, and I confide in you to keep it."
"Don't worry, Paimon's lips are sealed."
"Same here."
"Well I appreciate that." Kaeya smiled.
"Alright, so what's that secret of yours?" Paimon asked, very obviously eager to know.Kaeya smirked a huffed, crossing his arms proudly. "As a matter of fact, my grandfather was a pirate!"

"...".

"Oh." Paimon simply said, a bit upset it wasn't something more surprising or thrilling.
"...Wait, why do you sound so blithe? Do you think I'm making it up?" Kaeya asked. "Look at my eyepatch! I inherited it from my grandfather and this is solid proof that we are related by blood!"
"I never knew you could inherit eyepatches." Aether sarcastically remarked him."My! Aether, how could you not know such common knowledge! This is no different from children inheriting their hairstyles from their parents!"
So I'm the dumb one?, Aether thought to himself. "Ok...so what happened then?""Well yesterday I was glancing through the notes my grandfather left and stumbled upon records that spoke of a treasure..."
"...TREASURE!?" Paimon gasped, immediately interested in getting the said treasure. Quite the greedy one, aren't we?, Aether mentally chuckled at his flying pixie friend who was now chanting "treasure" all over and over again."According to the notes, the treasure is buried in the "Lost Arcadian Ruins". But the location of the ruins is currently unknown. I've tried searching for clues..."
"Kaeya! What kind of treasure is it? Gold? Or better yet, gems!?" Paimon cutted him off, already eager to go on an adventure to find it.
"Hmph! Treasures that consist of nothing but golds and gems are third-rate treasures. My grandfather's treasure is a sword!" Kaeya smirked proudly. "A magic sword that grants the wielder unrivaled power!"
"Oh wowwww!" At this point, Aether won't be surprise if Paimon started drooling over the thought of treasure.
