"Are you sure about this?" Philza asked, standing by Tommy's door. "This hybrid's pretty dangerous, and has killed before."

"I'm sure." Tubbo nodded.

"Well, it's your funeral." Phil sighed, before turning and unlocking the door.

Tubbo stepped inside, aware of the door closing behind him.

"Tommy?" He scanned the room, but the Raccoon boy wasn't anywhere in sight.

"Hi Tubbo."

"AAH- FUCK-" Tubbo leapt back, tripping over his own feet, as Tommy appeared behind him.

"Don't scare me like that, you prick!" The boy hissed, nearly having to shout to be heard over the hybrid's hyena-like laughter.

"You should've seen the look on your face!" Tommy screeched, wiping tears from the corners of his face and letting out a high-pitched mocking scream.

Tubbo forced himself to chuckle, although he was still annoyed.

After Tommy stopped giggling, there was a long very fucking akward silence. Yay.

Tommy wouldn't meet his eyes. Tubbo winced inwardly. Had he done something wrong? It was obvious Tommy hadn't understood his message from the last visit. Guess he can't speak Bee. He wasn't surprised, but it was the only way he could talk to Tommy about... his plan? He couldn't really call it that. His 'idea', more like.

Tommy probably knew he was a hybrid, but they couldn't speak here. He had no doubt there were lots of hidden cameras and microphones all over the place, to make sure the captured hybrid wasn't doing shit. They couldn't risk it.

But where could they talk freely? Tubbo had only been here for a few days; he didn't know about any good places.

But Phil does. He pushed that thought to the back of his kind. How could he ask Phil of all people for help? His Mentor didn't know he was a hybrid. He would be captured in a heartbeat!

"Do you know Wilbur?" Tubbo was surprised to hear Tommy, who looked like he really regretted saying that. "He used to be Phil's apprentice. He reminds me a lot of you." He had a meaningful look in his eye. Tubbo realised what he meant; he was practically talking in code, but not the code engraved above Tommy's cell door.

Tubbo took a deep breath. He would help Tommy escape. He would help every hybrid here.

It seemed like he didn't need to talk to Tommy; the raccoon boy already knew about his 'idea'.

Now, he needed help from the inside.

"Um, hey, Phil?"

"What's up mate?" Philza asked, continuing to navigate the corridors with his apprentice beside him.

"Do you know anyone named Wilbur?"

Philza froze.

"How do you know about him?" He didn't move, his voice nearly a whisper.

"Tommy mentioned him." The boy said quickly.

They were silent for a moment, then Philza began walking again. "He was my first apprentice. A nice kid."

"What happened to him?" Tubbo asked quietly.

Why do you want to know? Philza didn't speak the words out loud. "He works here now."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

Tubbo seemed to realise that was the end of the conversation. Philza turned right sharply, continuing down another hallway, his mind whirring.

Why was Tubbo so intrested in Wilbur? How much did Tommy tell him? He didn't know, did he?

No. That was impossible. There was no way Tubbo could have found out; Tommy was annoying, but not stupid. He knew he was being recorded. He would be punished horribly for telling Tubbo anything like that. And so would Tubbo.

He paused at a door labelled 'SAMPLES'. "Tubbo, go in there. Find someone named Jade. Tell her I sent you for studying. She'll help you."

"Arn't you coming?" Tubbo asked nervously.

"I have somewhere else to be. Stay there until I come back."

"U-uh, okay?"

Philza whirled around before Tubbo could finish. He quickly walked through the blank white hallways, following a path he knew by heart. Why the fuck do I keep coming back here?

"Oh, hi Phil." He sighed as he pushed open the metal door, hearing the nameless cat's robotic voice once again. "Just can't stay away, eh?"

Philza leaned on the wall. "What am I gonna do..."

"Do 'bout what?" The cat asked, pushing its yellow muzzle against the clear door keeping it out.

"I think my apprentice knows about the hybrids."

The cat paused for a moment, tilting its head thoughtfully, then returned its dark gaze to Philza. "Send him to me." He offered. "I'll see if I can get any information from 'im."

Philza looked up. "Really? You'll do that?"

"I'd love to!" The cat hissed slyly. "But I just want one thing in return..."

Philza frowned.

"Come on, Phil..." Its voice became a soft growl. "Make it a deal..."

"You know I can't let you out." He muttered.

"Why not?" The cat was pushing the side of its face onto the door, glaring at Philza with a massive black eye.

"You fucking destroyed Paris last time you were free!" Philza nearly shouted, standing up.

"Oh, yeah." The cat smirked. "Forgot 'bout that."

Philza leaned back again with a frustrated sigh.

After a few minutes, the cat seemed to be sick of the silence. "Bring your apprentice to me, and I'll give you answers." It muttered. "I won't ask for anything. A bit of decent entertainment is good enough for me."

"Thanks." Philza grunted, turning away from the cat and heading for the door.

He hoped this would work.
