Welcome back! Enjoy!

(Erica's POV)

"Really Ben?" I asked, not even bothering to hide the smile on my face. He had driven me to the Washington Monument- the first place I had started to realized I liked him as more than a friend. We hid the motorcycle in a stand of trees and climbed up to the top. When we got there Ben sat down against the wall and I joined him. He put his arm around me and slipped his warm hand into mine. Part of me was screaming that this was the wrong choice, that I would get hurt and shut down for good, but the tiny sliver of me that had worked its way in over the months, the part that was madly in love with Ben, overpowered for the first time ever. I let myself lean into him, breathing in his warm vanilla and gunpowder scent. He was looking into my eyes, a blissful smile on his face. Then he pulled me up and reached into his pocket and pulled out a gold bracelet with little vials of liquid and a little charm that said "Erica" on it.

"I had this made and filled these vials with different types of very strong antidotes. The glass is reinforced and bulletproof so it wont shatter and cut you and the bracelet is real silver. I was planning to wait a while and give it to you for your birthday or Christmas or something but I think now is a better time." a big stupid grin spread across my face as Ben clipped the bracelet on my wrist.

"Erica Hale- will you be my girlfriend?" he asked. My dopey grin spread to the point it hurt.

"Yes!" Next thing I knew he had flung himself at me and was kissing me. I didn't resist. Instead I deepened the kiss pressing against the wall as his hands wrapped tighter around my waist. It was the first time I made out with anyone and I had to be honest, I wasn't missing the old Erica.  When he finally pulled away I whispered into his ear:

"Thank you Ben. You make me the happiest I've ever been."
