Now
I say to my dear Olivia, "And now, my dear Olivia that takes us back to now." I look over at her and she says, "Oh Grandmama." And hugs me while she cries. I say, "Oh, Olivia my life hasn't been terrible. I got to meet so many great people." She nods as she hugs me. I hear a familiar knock on the door and Kathleen walks in. She sees Olivia crying and says, "What happened?" Olivia walks over to Kathleen and stops crying as she says, "Grandmama told me about her life. It was so sad Mom. So many people in her life have died or had trouble." I say to Olivia, "Olivia, my life has not been terrible. Great people came into my life and some have left. You my dear are named after your grandfather who would be so proud of you." She wipes her tears and says, "Really?" I nod and say, "Really. Next time let's talk about Cinderella." She nods and she and Kathleen walk out the door. Kathleen smiles and winks at me as she closes the door. I sigh and rest back down in my chair. I look at the pictures again. My wedding day one. A picture of me holding Olivia. Of Kathleen when she was younger. The pictures of Oliver and I on our honeymoon. Pictures of Olivia playing in my house. I smile and say to myself and my pictures, "Until, next time my dear Olivia."
