A/N: This is already uploaded on my AO3 but I've decided to post it here too!
Just a few notes, this is my interpretation of the omegaverse and I hope you like it. Also, please ignore that Tae is technically underaged in this...
Enjoy :)

The Evergreen pack leader was getting old. Why was this a problem? Simply because there was no one to replace him. Well, that wasn't entirely true, there were many young and powerful alphas that showed great leadership skills - Kim Namjoon for example. The only problem was that an alpha could only become the leader of the pack if the Luna chose him.
Once in every century, a beautiful omega specifically chosen by the moon goddess to be the pack leader's mate was born: the Luna. Their presence became known only once their hair turned silver, around the age they present as omega, age 17-19. Their role was incredibly important in a pack. Entire packs could disband if no Luna was born. The Evergreen pack had faith that their Luna would arrive shortly, but the anxiety was setting in at the decline in their leader's health and the painful absence of a certain silver-haired omega.
On his nightly patrol through the thick forest, Kim Namjoon came across two trespassers.
"What brings you here at this time? This is Evergreen territory." Namjoon had to hold back his growl.
The two travelers' eyes widened.
"We're just here to pass on a message to the Evergreen leader. Is it you?"
Namjoon considered lying, but chose against it at the last second.
"I'm standing in for him.... I'll take your message to him." He gave the travelers an icy stare as they handed the envelope to him.
"We'll be on our way." The messengers were quick to turn on their heel and leave the intimidating alpha.
Early the next morning, Namjoon sighed as he hauled himself out of bed. It was a tiring job, patrolling and representing the leader. Practically everyone expected him to be the next leader, so he had no choice but to keep his exhaustion and hesitation under wraps so as not to disappoint his pack.
Namjoon stepped inside the pack's headquarters and waited for the leader to let him into his office, envelope in hand. The headquarters weren't anything fancy, just a two-story wooden cabin hand made by the pack's ancestors. This was where all the pack's most important business took place.
He smelled her before he saw her.
"Ji-ah, you're in heat," he noted.
Ji-ah gave him a sly smile.
"Yeah, I should probably go. The book-keeping can wait. Care to join me, Namjoon?" She smiled and folded her hands behind her back. It was no secret that Namjoon and Ji-ah had a 'thing' going on. Namjoon could only stare at her longingly as the office door opened. She gave him a wink before slipping out the front door.
"Come in, Namjoon-ssi," the pack leader waved him over.
The elderly leader slowly lowered himself into his chair before reading through the letter. Namjoon's thoughts couldn't help but turn to Ji-ah. She was waiting for him in her home. He hoped she hadn't started without him. His wolf craved her body. Her lips, her waist, her thighs, her warm heat between said thighs -
"What does it say?" Namjoon coughed out, desperate to put a stop to his indecent thoughts.
"Ah, nothing to worry about. Just the neighboring pack wondering if we've got a Luna yet, that's all."
