It was finally Christmas day around all dimensions. Everything was beautiful and magical. Over night the snow had thickened and was still falling. Children and their families were opening presents while others were out in the snow having fun, but a dark cloud hung over Kreature's head in Stone Grave.
Kreature was sat on the edge of his bed in his room, staring out of his window, watching the snow fall. A tear fell from his eyes. He missed his mother a lot and it did not feel right celebrating the holidays without her. His only family that was left, he wanted to punish.
Kreature clicked his fingers and instead of seeing the snow fall out side, the young King saw his aunt and her family through the window. Kreature watched as they opened their presents but he noticed the pained look upon Alexa's face.
Grim walked into the King's room and noticed what Kreature was looking at. The young elf turned to see his friend and smiled softly.
"What is troubling you my lord?"
"Why does Alexa look sad?"
"Alexa is dying Kreature." Grim stated.
The young King's eyes widened at the words.
"What do you mean she is dying?"
Grim sighed. "Are you sure you want to know the truth?"
"Grim please. They are my only living family left and it pains me to see Alexa in this way, even if she did murder my mother."
"Alright my lord. Last year, your father murdered your cousin Felix. Alexa resorted to dark magic but she was soon poisoned by your father which caused the dark magic to turn into a cancer that is slowly killing her." Grim bowed his head as he saw how hurt the King looked.
"My father caused Alexa's cancer?"
"Yes my lord. I would not lie to you."
Kreature placed a hand on his chest. He was sure that someone had just plunged their hand into his chest, took hold of his heart and crushed it, shattering it into tiny pieces.
Kreature screamed. He clenched his hands into fists hoping to ignite them into flames but nothing had happened. Grim watched as the King took the news badly but he had noticed that the young boy's magic was no longer working.
A few more tears fell from Kreature's eyes as he began to feel a gut retching pain in his stomach. Kreature wiped his eyes and stood to his feet. He clicked his fingers to change into something more suitable for the day but nothing had happened. He tried again but still nothing was happening.
"Grim, why is my magic not working?"
"I believe the good and bad magic inside of you are currently battling to see which is more dominant my lord." Grim spoke.
"That can not be."
"It is my lord. You have hated Alexa for so long that now you are slowly starting to see the good in her."
"Get out. I need to change." Kreature snapped.
Grim did as he was commanded and left the young King alone. Kreature did not like what he had heard but he somewhat believed the truth in his friend's words. He had hated Alexa for so long that after hearing what his father had done to her had broke him.
But there was still hatred for his aunt deep within him. Kreature quickly changed into something comfortable for the snow and began to make his way down to the training grounds.
As Kreature walked passed the throne room door, Grim caught sight of him.
"My lord, where are you going?" Grim shouted after him.
