RUE AND THE BOYS hopped out of the truck once it was parked in the Jacob's driveway. She glanced at Quil when she noticed a familiar orange truck parked near the garage. It was no surprise when Bella Swan got out of the truck. Rue refrained from rolling her eyes, curious to know if she was going to be doing this everyday.
Jacob was clearly happy to see her, however. His face brightened before jogging towards the girl. "Hey, Bella!"
He picked her up into a bear hug before putting her back down. Once her feet were back on the ground she waved awkwardly to the other three, to which Quil responded with a wave back and Rue simply nodded her head. Embry gave her a weak smile but stayed leaning against Billy's truck.
Rue looked around, when she noticed a small patch of yellow flowers she walked towards it immediately. Bella looked at Jacob confused.
She bent down and picked one of the flowers before going back to where she was previously standing and handed it to Quil. He gave her a small smile, he tucked it behind his ear and slung his arm over her shoulders.
Bella looked at Jacob, "what just happened?" She whispered.
He leaned down slightly, not wanting to be too obvious, "it's their thing, when one of them sees a dandelion they always pick it to bring to the other. I can't tell you how many pressed flowers Rue has."
Bella looked back at the pair as they talked, "are they together?"
Jacob laughed a little, "no, they're both too scared to say anything."
Bella stared at Rue and Quil painfully. She managed to tear her gaze away, "I hope it's okay that I came today, I should've texted you or something. I didn't know they were coming over."
"Nah, it's fine," Jacob shrugged, "Quil and Rue would break off soon anyway and Embry doesn't live far from here so none of them have a problem walking."
Bella nodded, she still felt a little guilty that she interrupted their time together, and that they had to walk home.
Jacob turned to the trio, "hey, is it okay if we hang out a different day? Bella wanted to keep working on the bikes."
