will, niki, tubbo, tommy and i decided on going to the nearest shopping centre for the day. i couldn't lie, it was great just the five of us for the sole reason we were the 'quietest' from the lot.

my hand was intertwined with tommy's as we walked down the merely busy concourses. a broad smile was smothered across my face after the events of last night. i couldn't be happier.

little did i know, that would all change in a matter of minutes.

"hey, i'm just gonna go in here," i gesture towards the bright lights of a shop, "don't wait for me."

i turn around to go before i was stopped by tubbo.

"can i go with you? i've been here before, they have some cool stuff."

"yeah of course. see you later."

i notice how tommy's smile falters as i let go of his hand. i smile at him before walking away.

walking into the store, tubbo started to interrogate me about last night. it came to no surprise of course

"so tell me, what happened last night?"

so i told him. by the end of it, he was sharing the very same smile i had been adorning all morning.

"i'm really happy for the both of you, really."

"thank you, tobs."

"do you think i can go look at-"

"yes of course; you don't need to ask. i'll just be right here."

he hugs me, saying goodbye then turns around to leave.

i moop around for a bit, nothing really catching my eye. i feel my phone buzz in my pocket. i reach to get it to see a text from tommy saying they're on their way back.

i manage to bump into someone while on my phone not looking where i'm going.

"oh god, i'm so sorry." i start to apologize.

"no, no, don't worry. it happens."

that voice.

who's voice is that?

then it clicked.

shit.

i look up quickly and try to back away. this is just what i didn't need.

his expression softens into the most smug and revolting smirk i've ever seen "well, well, look at who we have here. long time no see, baby."

"stay the fuck away from me, adrian." it was my ex. i reach into my bag for the pepper spray i carry around but it wasn't there. it must've fell out when i bumped into him. crap.

i start to back away only to realize there's no where to run.

"oh come on, darling," he starts to edge closer, "you know i won't hurt you- not on purpose that is." he lets out a low chuckle that made my stomach churn.

i frantically try and find my phone until my eyes fix to the floor. it was right in front of his feet. his gaze follows mine as he reaches down to pick it up.

"who's tommy?" i froze, "who is he?!"

he pins me up against the wall. i can't move. this was everything i had dreaded and worse. so much worse.
