“And you want us to believe all these stuff? That some weird ‘enemies’ are going to ‘misuse’ the Gate and that they will be here by the end of Julie? Seriously? Do you think I am fool?” said Nilio sarcastically

“Why wouldn’t you believe me? Do you believe I would lie about something so important?” said Melina angrily as she was looking at the 16-year-old Nilio.

“Of course not! But I cannot believe that some people would dare come to Polina, face us, and enter the Gate!” said Nilio

“Why are you so sure that no one would come and enter the Gate? Huh? And secondly my horses told me all these and I trust them my life. They wouldn’t say such a think if it is not true!” said Melina aggressively

“We should consider what Melina is saying us. If her horses told her that our enemies, whoever they are, are coming to enter the Gate, we should take some meters.  They Council has given us 100 men to help protect the Gate and plus our powers we would be ready!” said Mika, a 16-year-old boy who had an affinity on earth.

“I agree. I also trust the horses and I believe Melina too. We should be ready for the end of Julie. It is June now so we have almost two months to get prepared for an attack.” Said Nola. Nola was a year older than Melina, 15-years-old, and could sense the feeling of other people and see their auras.

“Okay, okay.  I believe that we should go to the Council and tell them about all these stuff. Who agrees?” groaned Nilio

Eight hands were raised- Melina, Mika, Nola, Maria, Alexandra, Bill, Sandra and Aria-. Nilio and his best friend Filipe probably thought Melina was lying so they didn’t raise their hands.

“The Gaiters have decided. We should tell the Council about this so-called invention” he said sarcastically “Melina and Bill will go.” He said smiling evilly. “Gaiters dismissed!”

~

“Gee, why he is always saying ‘Gaiters dismissed’? Are we his soldiers or something?” said Bill looking at Melina

“I don’t know…Maybe he likes being the leader…I suppose everyone would like that…What do you think?” said Melina

“I can’t think what this guy has in his mind but I know that in there, there is no brain!” said Bill and smiled when he say Melina laughing.

“You’re probably right” said Melina

“Yep I am right!” said Bill “Ah, here we are! May I present the Auditorium?” he said at Melina and like a gentleman he opened the door and let her pass first.

“What do you want sirs?” said a petit old man as he saw then approaching the door when the Council had its meetings.

“I am a miss thank you and we are here to inform the council about some important stuff.” Said Melina and pretended to be annoyed.

“And who are you two, miss?” said the old man sarcastically

“You dare wonder who we are?  Have you never seen us before?” wondered Bill

“No sir, I am new here and I was ordered not to let anyone pass this door” said the old man

“I thought that everyone could recognize two Gaiters…I mean you can’t say we are nobody. I am sure that if you tell your masters that Melina, mistress of horses and Bill, healer of the Gaiters, want to tell them something really important, on behalf of the other fellow Gaiters of course, I am sure they will tell you that you let us pass” said Melina to the horrified old man as she was staring at him mad with his attitude.

“Gaaaiiiiters? Meeelina, mistress of horses? Bill, healer of The Gaiters? Offf course my masters, enteeer pleaaasee!!!” said the old man trembling and he opened the door widely

“Wow that was impressive! I can say that for a moment you scared me too!” said Bill and looked Melina in awe.

“It was nothing…I feel a bit quilt of scaring him thought.” said Melina

“Ah come on! Anyway, let’s go and talk to the Council. Shall we?” he said smiling at Melina

Melina’s heart flapped for a moment but she managed to say a little “ ok “ as she headed towards the Council who was sitting around a table, arguing.

“I WILL NOT LET YOU DO THIS!” shouted an old man to another.

“IT WAS ONLY AN IDEA!!! RELAX FOR GOD’S SAKE!” yelled the other man

“Arg!!!” said the old man as he sat on his chair, murmuring under his breath.

“Well, now that you have both relaxed, we should see what these Gaiters who are looking us humiliating our selves want to tell us. Come my dears.” Said a Council member, an old woman named Nora. Stunned turned all the Council to looked at Melina and Bill who started walking towards the Council. “What are you here for?” said Nora.

“My horses came to me yesterday and they told me that our ‘enemies’ are going to come at the end of Julie to enter the Gate etc” said Melina

“Wait! What? Tell us exactly what your horses said to you.” Said Nora

Melina tried to explain as better as she could what had exactly happened that night with Kola and his fellows. The Council agreed that they should be ready for an invention.

“Maybe we should tell Andrea to teach the Gaiters how to fight with a sword.” Said Nora.

“Excellent idea my dear, I will contact him immediately!” said Faust, another Council member

“Who is this Andrea? And why you want to contact him?” said Bill

“Ah, Andrea is our best sword fighter! You must learn how to use a sword, in order to protect the Gate, and he is the best for this job!” said Faust

“Okay… So…When do lessons begin?” asked Melina

“Tomorrow morning all the Gaiters must be at the Auditorium!”  replied Faust  “You’d better tell the other Gaiters and go to your homes to sleep because tomorrow will be a hard day.” He added.

“Alright, tomorrow morning, rendezvous at the Auditorium! Bye bye!!!” said Bill
