Who Would You Choose?

Chapter 4

Although not everybody accepted Veronica (Claire) everybody else thought that she was a good person. Her parents on the other hand were very racist and didn't accept David. Not because of his petsonality, but the colour of his skin wasba problem bfor them. I figured this out when David and I went to pick up Veronica. We showed up at her house and her parents started yelling at us to get off his property (which we weren't even on, we had park on the road)

"Get off of our property your not wanted here. Go back to wherever you came from" yelled Veronica's father

"SHUT UP!" Screamed Veronica coming out of the house

"If you go with those people,don't even bother coming back to this house!" yelled Veronica's mother

Veronica gave them a quick glance and got in the car.

My mom had no idea that Veronica's parents were racist, so she had no idea that Veronica was kicked out of her house because of that. When my mom first met Veronica she made it very clear that she was not aloud to sleep here. David didn't even bother telling mom that Veronica had no place to go,he just decided that he was going to secretly have her stay here until she got back on her feet or cleared things up with her parents. I was the only one who knew about Veronica staying at our house. So sometimes I would help sneak her in and out of the house or cover for them when my mom was getting suspicious. We had some good times in the time she was staying at my house. When her parents realized that she wasn't coming home they kept calling and texting her saying that she should come home. Veronica finally decided that she would go home. And no one ever knew that she had stay there a couple of weeks.
