Chapter 6

Kianna POV

A month later

"I got a new car Kianna!" Said Veronica with excitement in her voice "that's great, what kind of car is?"

"Its a jeep" a smile formed across her face "jeeps are cool" I said casually

"You wanna see it? Its in the driveway"

"Sure let's go" I said running to the door.
They next day I was running late for school so I asked David for a ride and he agreed. But it was not a fun ride.
"Me and Veronica are going camping this weekend" said David. I looked at him with a confused look on my face.
"You can't go camping this weekend you promised you would come to the family reunion, we haven't seen them for awhile now."
"Yeah, but Veronica really wants to go camping, she asked me yesterday"
I became very angry when he said that.
I asked you about this weeks ago and you promised that you would come and now your not only blowing me off but most of your family too, just because you want to go camping with Veronica! " My voice got louder and louder."This isn't the first time you have done this to me, I am so sick of you blowing me off all the time. Every time we make plans you cancel because Veronica wants to do something you" He looked at me with shock in his face.
We pulled into the parking lot of my school. I was about to get out of the cat when David grabbed my arm.
"I didn't know you felt that way" he said with a soft tone in his voice
"Yeah well now you do,and me saying all of this might just be going in one ear and out the other, but maybe one thing will stick. Family should come first" I said pulling my arm out of his hand and getting out of the car.
After school I went straight home. I wasn't on the mode to talk to anyone and I knew no one was home so I would have the house to myself. I went to my room and laid down on my bed. I was on Instagram for a bit and then I started watching The Fast and the Furious ( because its the bomb) In the middle of the movie I had to pause it because there was a knock on my door. "Come in" I said annoyed. It was David the person I really don't want to see right now.
"What do you want, shouldn't you be with Veronica right now?"
"Yeah, I'm about to go meet her"
"Well bye, have fun" I rolled my eyes and continued the movie.
D:"Come on, can't you just hear me out" I paused the movie again and faced him.
K: "I heard you loud and clear this morning not really in the mood to hear more of your excuses, so can you please leave I'm trying to watch a movie." He left my room and I just laid there in my bed.
