"Move."
I awoke screaming and drenched in sweat. What the—?!! Oh...Just a dream... I sat up on my bed, taking in the solace of my room. I enjoyed the respite for a little longer before lying back down.

Beep. Beep. Beep. WHACK. 07:00. I smacked the alarm. CRASH. God dammit. I broke it again, and everything fell of my drawers. Again. Sighing to myself, I roll out of bed, onto the floor and sighed again. I pushed myself up, and drawled through my morning routine.
What will it be this time?? Was the resonating question as I drove to the hide out. Probably should've stated earlier that this journal I'm writing in, is to record everything we've done and been doing. Strange phenomena occur all the time, unbeknownst to us. Well, almost. They've been happening to us a lot more or, at least, we're a lot more aware of them. That's why Brooke, Kai, Ray, Harry, Obi and I are doing this. I'm Kaizu and this is what happens when you break the system.

I pulled up at the gum tree with mirror embedded in it's trunk. I still think this thing draws too much attention. Gum trees aren't American at all!! I internally complained, again, as the pale, golden haired, slightly freckled, ugly as all Hell girl stared back at me through the mirror. Just my usual self.
The tree flickered, turning red for less than a second and going back to normal. I was suddenly inside what looked like an old treehouse. "What the—?! What happened?! Is something wrong!!??" Exclaimed a scrawny, dark haired boy. "Shut up, Harry. So what if I'm early?? What's the big deal?" I crossed my arms and glared. He averted my gaze.
"Oh. My. God. Could you two please not fight every two seconds?!" Ray exasperated, turning towards us. His bronze complexion, appearing darker in the shade of the treehouse, and uniquely blue eyes contorted into an expression of pure irritation.
"Someone's not in a good mood this morning." Remarked the 5'3 brunette who finally decided to show up. Brooke flashed a sneer in Ray's Direction. He just sighed in defeat.
"Are we gonna discuss last night or not?" Kai strutted in, cutting Ray off before he could make another sound. Her short, curly dark-brown hair sat just below the tips of her ears, slightly covering her pretty face, just above her violet eyes.
"Yes we are." Obi, the brat, answers as he somehow climbs in through a window. How does he do that?!?! I'm pretty sure we were all thinking that, moving on. Obi has short, dark hair, cat-like eyes and is a considerable amount taller than the rest of us.
"Last night-" "We shoulda changed locations-" "LET ME FINISH. Last night we almost died, and we agree that we should definitely be moving every time the voice speaks." Kai cut me off, after I cut her off.
"Why aren't we moving now??" The rest of us asked as if programmed to.
"The Heinous Imps are yet to make a move, as soon as there's any sign of movement, we go."
"But-."
"Butts are for sitting on, not for speaking." I was shocked, Brooke had cut me off.
"Yeah well, isn't it better to get a head start??" Ray asked for me.
At that moment, the TV flickered life.
"Breaking news; reports of an explosion down south on Main Street, has killed 4 people and injured 7—" Brooke cut off the fake-tan by turning off the TV.
We got the hell outta there. We ran. Ran fast. Fast and far. It was clear to me now:
We didn't leave earlier because we didn't know which direction we'd have to go.
The thought was like a Tsar Bomb dropping into the calmest of seas.
It resonated.
My legs never stopped moving.
It wasn't until Harry and Brooke dropped to their knees, when we stopped. They physically couldn't go on.
We were saturated in sweat. The wind's icy cold fingers, clawed at us through our clothing.
"Where are we??"
"No clue."
"Can you walk??"
"Uhhh I could try."
"No its ok, just hang in there, we'll rest here for a bit."
The whole world was speaking at once.
"What're we gonna do??" ... "...safe to..." "....eat and...." "I'm..." "Hey, Kaizu—"
I...my head...so light...
I was struggling to stand already but when I fell, well, shiz just got real.
BZZTTBBGGTZZZ.
Another glitch.
The Heinous Imps, small ventriloquist-puppet-looking things, wearing masks like the Majora's Mask from Zelda, were now surrounding us.
"NO!!"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOO—
I shot up.
I was in my bed.
Sweat causing my pyjamas to cling to my shaking body.
I took some slow deep breaths and sat in tranquillity. Leaving a heavy silence.
It's quiet........the silence......it's....loud?
"Move."
