Eight years ago, a twenty year old girl vanished from her best friend's birthday party at a seemingly luxurious hotel. The whole town of Mattapan looked for her for three weeks but after that.... not...
This story came together when someone told me of a friend who was experiencing mental health issues. The friend's parents had refused to get her treated claiming that it was demon possession and had instead locked her in her bedroom. I wrote to show readers that mental illnesses if left untreated can lead to dire consequences and that people who suffer from mental illnesses are people too.
The characters on the other hand came to me at a barber's shop. This sounds funny but most of my ideas tend to come to me in the weirdest of places.
I was supposed to have an author's note at the beginning but I started this book when I was quite nervous which is why most of the beginning chapters are short and have many grammatical errors. I apologize for that.
This is the first book I have ever truly completed and I must say that this has been ab adventure. The ups and downs of writing have been an experience.
I have learnt that writing a book–even on Wattpad is not a solitary effort.
I would like to start by thanking my parents for funding the writing process and for funding my education. ABOUT THE AUTHOR I am an 18 year old male who lives in Africa, Uganda particularly. I enjoy reading and writing mystery and suspense novels with a hint of romance. I have always been one for the chase and the cliff hangers. I am a junky for them.
For the next two weeks, I will be going through this book with a fine tooth comb and catching up with some reading. I will also be doing my school work to catch up. Writing has really taken up most of my time.
