Being a cricketer has taught Dev a lot of things. How to handle pressure? How to keep your face neutral when world around you has fallen apart? How to absorb negativity?
The blue of India came with a lot together and he looked forward to having it with its pros and cons.
Despite all that, the one thing that it has not been able to teach him is how to handle a crowd that is mad for you.
Dev loved his fans. There was no doubt about it. He felt he was on the blessed side when it comes to having understanding fans and yet it became a task for him to manage them when he's out, wandering.
This was the prime reason that Dev avoided going out with other team members, but when Shubhman and Ishan, almost dragged him out with them, he couldn't do much.
"There is this cafe here, I've been hearing about a lot from people and we're going to check it out. It's a treat from you", Shubhman had declared, coming inside Dev's room, all dressed up along with Ishan joined him with nods.
Before Dev could even put up a protest, a tee shirt and a pair of jeans were thrown towards him and he was sent inside the washroom. "At least tell me why am I treat you guys?"
