~Ciel's POV~
Bored out of my mind, I started thinking of this morning.
Gwen had woken me up today, Sebastian came in soon after to see me sit up, rubbing my eyes.
I stared at Gwen, for a moment she looked like my mother, the shades drawn to make her silver hair look a blonde moonbeam color, something that happens, way to much.
Even without the shades she seemed too much like my mother. The figure, height, eyes, hair, personality...
After another rub of the eyes, I said, "What's wrong?"
She opened the blinds as Sebastian poured me tea. "Nothings wrong, I just wanted to spend some time with you before I leave for my job," she had said.
"Come on, Gwen, Sebastian," Bard said, pulling me from my thoughts. He was trying to inviting Sebastian and Gwen in the middle of a search to saving Angela.
"Aren't you red-blooded! We need to go find Angela!" Bard said before running out.
Gwen and I both looked at Sebastian and Gwen cleared her throat, "Well?" She said.
"Yes, my lady?" Sebastian said, acting dumb.
Before I took a sip of my tea I said, "Shes asking what color is your blood?"
"Seems the pupil surpassed the tutor," Gwen said.
"Its not quite so, it just seems the young master has gotten more perceptive at specifically your thoughts," Sebastian countered.
Smirking she said, "Its okay, Sebastian, only great minds think alike,"
Gwen kissed the top of my head in her quick rush to leave.
I'd had watched as she procrastinated in leaving so I laid back to watch my shinigami of a god-mother rush.
"I'll see you in you in your manor tonight, I'm sure you'll solve it today, bye," She said, putting on a ring, I had a feeling wasn't exactly a ring.
I watched my graceful shinigami turned to leave but Sebastian was behind her.
"Hello," she said giving him a smile. In truth, I wasn't sure if she had a twinge of mock in her eyes or not, she wasn't exactly facing me.
"Hello," Sebastian replied, a mock smirk on his face and she said, "I apologize but today, I don't have any moments for time to be consumed recklessly,"
Playing along with whatever she was saying, Sebastian said, "Its fine, maybe some other time you'll start to enjoy it,"
Everything became silent and it was just Sebastian and Gwen, smiling at each other. Anyone who would have saw it would think it was a nice gesture until they noticed the electricity crackling.
Their gaze were menacing, dripping with poisonous venom, and no one could learn the meaning, of the phrase 'If looks could kill' as well as I did right then.
The difference was that Gwen's was more passive as if she was already victorious. Sebastian's was aggressive, barely showing he was vexed at Gwen's dominate attitude, something a lady should not have.
This was all in one 'smile' to each other.
"Goodbye Ciel, I'll probably be in your room, sorting through papers, you just don't break old habits easily, and I can't let this butler do all the work," She said tilting her head casually to the side.
Everything screamed delicate about her, tantalizing. She looked as if Sebastian could shatter her as easily as you could tear paper.
Before she had left, she brushed shoulders with Sebastian, the both of them, keeping their ominous gaze....
Her hair tumbled down her shoulders as Sebastian looked up, in an obvious attempt to keep his crossed attitude in.
I was too busy thinking to realize she jumped from a window instead of taking a door.
"Good job," I said, taking another sip of tea, trying not to wonder how she managed to contradict everything I just said about her being delicate.
Smiling back down at me with his poker face, he said, "Why mighty my young master be congratulate me for?"
"Nothing," I said, the butler didn't need to know he handled Gwen well, his ego was big enough. Setting the newspaper down, I looked up at him and said, "What's going on between you and Gwen?"
His face morphed into one of awe, surprise, fury, and indecision. "Nothing too important, least to say, "
I stared him down, not allowing him to let this get away. "Well?" I asked.
"Lady Gwen, seems...interesting," was the only thing Sebastian managed to scrounge up, his thoughts most likely like my own. contradicted.
~Gwen's POV~
I managed to have an actual death scythe this time. I filled out another form for the death, so many unknown murders.
"Kukukuku," I turned around at the overwhelming laughter, echoing in the ally. I saw a person, robed in a cloak, sleeves running over his hands. White hair tumbled down, just as long as Grell's, braids tangled in occasionally.
"Interesting," the person said, his voice sounding creepy. Turning around, I heard him say, "A female shinigami,"
I sent the finished report back, walking out of the ally. The stranger was waiting as I turned the corner. Tilting my head, I said, "Wrong, a female shinigami without glasses, your argument is invalid,"
"Still valid, my dear, still female, still shinigami," he smiled. I smiled, tilting my chin up to try to look him in the eyes, but his hair covered them. I let my smile slip by a fraction, why would he need to hide his eyes.
"kukukukuku," he cackled to himself, laughing at my attempt to find his eyes.
"Undertaker," I said, stepping back as he leaned in to study my eyes. Calling he said, "Passing the final stage must've been hard,"
I frowned, "how would you know?" I knew he was an unearthly being but... Was he a shinigami himself?
When we went to the Undertakers shop, I immediately recognised Undertaker, but I never got to know him. Exactly what I meant by long history.
"Kukukukuku, lovely weapon of choice," Undertaker commented. I brought up my hand, showing off the ring."Lovely isn't it?" I said, smiling.
"Come with me, won't you'" I heard Him say, his creepy voice, never leaving. I frowned, "Maybe another time...I should get going, what I need is to get into trouble again,"
"I'm sure were to meet again," I said, turning to leave. What an interesting man...
