Crimson Trance (ch. 31)

I smiled, looking up.

Sebastian's hair was forced to be combed back, along with Snakes.

Long story short, one of the murders committed was because of a black mamba. One of Snake's black Mambas. And Sebastian managed to discover it. Ciel, being the gracious person he was, offered Snake a lie and took him in.

I have no idea what lie it was, but it brought Snake to a state where he was murderous to calm and willing.

"Ciel! Ciel! You must try the food!" Elizabeth disappeared into the crowd. After she had disappeared from sight, he leaned against a pillar with a tired expression.

"Is this what people do with their time? Talk about what this family did what. Spare me..."

I chuckled at his childishness, "Ciel, imagine reaping the souls who's life consists of gossip. You mustn't get into the habit,"

"Go have your peace," Ciel waved me off, "You've followed me for a long time now. Have your vacation,"

I blinked, feinting ignorance, "This is my vacation, Ciel. I'm spending time with my son,"

"With me and my fiancee," Ciel sighed, "Sometimes, it embarrassed me,"

I chuckled, "Ah, even my son can be embarrassed.....just wait till later tonight,"

His head shot up in surprise, a bewildered expression crossed his features "What?" Ciel asked flatly, "Is there something that's going to happen tonight?"

I laughed, "Well, of course- ah...." I turned to look back at him. Bending down, I put a finger over my lips, "If Sebastian hasn't told you, neither will I,"

"He's informed me that you will attend?" Ciel said with uncertainty. He studied me from under his lashes as if hoping I would be there. Shrugging, I set my drink down, "Yeah, I'll definitely be there," I looked around and glanced back at Ciel, leaning down, I put a finger to my lips and winked, "In fact, I'll go ahead of you. I'll meet you there."

Ciel frowned up at me, and I laughed, "You're such a fun person to tease,"

He rolled his eyes and offered a ghost of a smile, "I'm not a child you have to pamper,"

"Oh?" I asked. Turning to Snake, who was tailing us, I shook my head with a smile, "He hasn't denied that he's still in his childhood,"

"I just don't want to seem ridiculous in front of such an old person," Ciel complained mockingly, "I mean, how old are you?"

I put a hand to my chest, "Oh, are you asking a Lady her age?"

He continued to stare at me as if saying "Oh, come on". I rolled my eyes, "Okay, okay, you got me, so maybe I'm centuries old, but you can't say anything because I'm still in my youth as a Shinigami. In fact, I know some returned Shinigami's that you'd recognize,"

"Like who?" Ciel asked with his arms crossed. He looked like he was challenging me, but for the sakes of time, I knew he was curious.

"Well, for one," I folded my arms, "The Und-"

"Is everyone ready?" Sebastian came into view.

I winked at Ciel, "I'll be going first. This is a special case involving my brother and two other Shinigami's,"

"You told me there were three sent on this mission," Sebastian cocked his head to the side, giving me a concerned expression.

"Oh?" I turned around, with a smirk "Did I?"

He had informed me that for the sakes of entertainment, he was going to be on the Campania. He had heard about the Aurora Society and thought it was interesting, so he came.
