The Party - Chapter 25

The party on the occasion of 50 years completion of The Jaiswal Group of companies was arranged in a very grand manner. Many people were there, and the party was going on in full swing...

That's when Abir entered the party with Kuhu & Kunal accompanying him, Abir saw Ashok Jaiswal and made his way towards him with Kuku(Kuhu & Kunal).

Ashok : (seeing Abir with a smile on his face) Abir... Good to see you come here, I thought you are not going to come...

Abir : (with a smile) Sorry for being late, Uncle... And why would I not come when you had invited me so lovingly...

Abir : Uncle, (indicating towards Kuku) And this my brother Kunal and his wife Kuhu...

Ashok : You both make a very beautiful couple Kuhu & Kunal I must say..

Kunal & Kuhu : (at the same time) Thank you...

Kunal : And also thank you for investing in our company, trusting in us Mr. Jaiswal...

Ashok : Don't be so thankful Kunal, I know you and Abir have the potential and it's my profit too... And don't call me Mr. Jaiswal, you can too call me Uncle just like Abir does... (with a smile)

Kunal : Okay!

Ashok : (looking towards Abir) Abir!! You know I had told you, I will make you meet someone who has great experience in the IT business, and he will help you...

Abir : Yes you had told Uncle... I would like to meet him...

Ashok : (nods in agreement) (frowning) He has not been here till now, must have got busy with his meetings as always... (with a big smile looking behind Abir smiles happily and says) Oh! See here he comes... (goes towards the person he was looking at Abir's behind)

Abir, Kunal, and Kuhu move around to look at the man, who is none other than Yash Malhotra smiling talking with Mishti about something as they entered the party... Abir's lips turn in a full-fledged smile seeing Mishti, ignoring Yash also present there... And is lost staring at Mishti, but gets disturbed as Kunal standing beside him says, Bhai! Yash Malhotra is the one who will help us, it will be so nice you know... Abir nods in agreement at his statement.

Kuhu asks interrupting them, Abir bro! Did you know Mishti is also coming here? As she didn't tell me you know... with a sad expression. Abir with a smile says, No! I too didn't know it, bro... Kuhu says, Oh! ok... then.

Ashok approached Yash & Mishti and said with a smile, You both are late! How come? Wait let me guess this fellow (indicating towards Yash) would be working right, making you too work Mishti...

Mishti with a smile says, No! sir... Actually, It's due to me that we got late. Ashok with a smile says, It's ok! Then.. And you don't need to call me Sir Mishti, you call me AJ that's what Yash calls me... Mishti smiles and replies, AJ that sounds cool... but I don't think Yash would have given such a cool name.. Ashok laughs at her comment and says, You are right Mishti... Such a bore, a workaholic person like him who would every time just talk about projects, work, meetings, etc. would be able to give such a cool name. Never! Mishti nods in agreement to him with a smile...

Yash says looking towards Mishti, Mishti this is not fair... You are my friend and here you are going on AJ's side, you should be on my side... Mishti says, I only take the side of the one who is right... And here.. Mishti stops in between as she sees someone behind Ashok. Yash moves his eyes to see who Mishti's eyes are watching that she stopped in between, and there he finds Abir, Kunal, and Mishti's sister Kuhu...

FLASHBACK...

12:30 PM

Mishti enters Yash's cabin saying, Sir! the presentation for the next meeting at 2 pm is ready, I think you should have your lunch before that as we will be having back-to-back meetings till 5 pm.. but she stops midway, seeing Yash sitting with an old man in his 70s...

Biting her tongue and cursing herself for not watching before saying mishti says, I am sorry Sir... I will leave... and Yash replies back saying with a small smile, It's ok Mishti.

Giving a small nod, mishti makes her way out of the cabin, that's when the old man sitting with Yash calls her out, Mishti... Mishti looks back at him with a smile and says, Yes! Sir..

The old man says, Mishti... I need a favor from you! Mishti asks, Yes! sir what??... He replies You have to come to the party tonight at my place with Yash... Mishti gets astonished and confused at the same time...

Yash looking at her confused face says, It's okay Mishti... You don't need to go to the party when you don't want to...

The old man cutting him in between says, Yash!! When Mishti is ready to come... why are you saying her not to come... Yash says, When did she say Yes? tell me..

Mishti gets stunned seeing Yash talking with someone in this casual tone so informally, as he always talks in a professional tone with everyone...

The old man says with a smile looking at her, Ok! You tell Mishti, Will you come or not?? telling her with his eyes to say a YES... Mishti feels something inside her heart and says, Yes! I will...

The old man gets up from his seat with a smile saying, Thank you Mishti... And see you both at the party tonight... Bye.. and he leaves.

Yash looks towards mishti and asks her, Mishti! Why did you say Yes to him for the party, when even you don't know him... Mishti smiles and says, How could I have said No when he asked so loving By the way Who is he? He felt like someone very close to you...

Yash says with a smile on his face, Yes! That's right he is very close to me... He is one due to whom I am here today... He is the Mr. Ashok Jaiswal... He only guided me in business and also helped me set up my company when everyone had rejected my idea, he was the one to come forward... And yes the party he was talking about is for his company completed 50 years...

Mishti smiles and gives a small nod listening to Yash...
