D-day - Chapter 27

The D-day was here! Cut short the decision day...

Vishwambhar had called Abir to talk about Mishbir's relationship. He was as concerned as a father would be about the future of Mishti and Abir's relationship, he knew that Meenakshi Rajvansh, Abir's mother was never going to accept this relationship... Then what will be the future of this relationship he was concerned about it! And that's why he wished to meet Abir...

As Abir entered the maheshwari house wishing greetings to everyone and hugged his favourite badi maa. He shared an eye lock with mishti.

The eyelock was interrupted by Vishwamber as he spoke, "Abir beta, I wish to talk to you alone! Can we go to the garden?" Abir nodded in agreement to his words as they both moved towards the garden.

Vishwamber said, "Abir beta! Please don't get anything wrong with what I am going to tell you, but You know I am Mishti's father and there are some concerns as a father!"

Abir with a smile said, "I do understand Uncle! Say whatever is in your heart, I will not mind it."

Vishwamber said, "As you are aware, your mother is never going to agree on Mishti marrying you in the future! She hates Mishti! And I don't want my daughter to get hurt at the end... When I can see that this relationship will not get a happy ending!" Abir sighed listening to him as he was somewhere right though he had tried a lot in the past to explain his mother, but his mother is stubborn! And here Mishti 's father's concern was also right at some point, what will the future of his and Mishti's relationship hold?

"Uncle I don't know when ma will agree or will never! But I promise you to keep trying! And I am trying when I say that!" Abir said. Vishwamber said, "So you will leave your Maa for my daughter? Can you promise me that thing?"

Abir was in a dilemma listening to him. But somewhere he knew that there was a possibility of this situation occurring in the future, though he never wished for this to happen... But there does stand a possibility!

Breaking his thoughts Vishwamber said, "I know Abir the thing I am said sounds pathetic... I never wish for you to be in such a situation beta! But isn't there a possibility of it to occur? I know I am speaking like a selfish person but I am selfish for my daughter, her happiness, her well-being!"

Listening to him Abir felt guilt-stricken was he not giving his 100% to make his mother accept Mishti? Is his love for Mishti ruining her life?

Abir starts to speak though fighting with his thoughts, "Uncle! I..." But stopping him in between Vishwamber says, "It's alright Abir beta! I understand what you are going through... There's no need to say anything just now. I just wanted to share my insecurities with you... I hope you understand!"

Abir passes a small smile to him and says, "I understand you uncle! Everything you said is valid..."

Vishwamber smiles a little, listening to Abir thinking about how perfect this man is for his daughter, praying to God to make Abir & Mishti one forever!

"Let's go have dinner now or your badi maa will kill me for keeping you hungry for this long time!" Vishwamber chuckles speaking that.

Abir smiles listening as they both move towards the dining area from the garden.

The dinner went well with casual talks here and there. But Abir though being physically present was mentally lost thinking about his mother, about the future of his & mishti's relationship which was at stake.

As mishti was walking by Abir to his car after the dinner, she noticed how he was just fake smiling the whole dinner and was lost in some thoughts and still is lost...
