Michael:

3am. You've been sitting there for exactly four and a half hours, watching the blank screen. Your face is swollen and sore but you haven't bothered getting ice for it. There's no point. It's over. You decided it the moment he laid a violent hand on you. Michael's been out for 6 hours. He came back, yelled some half drunken abuse then hit you before leaving again.

It never used to be like this, Michael used to be caring and considerate. He was affectionate and always put you first. But recently, these were rare and he forgot about you then would get angry when you confronted him about it. He never actually hit you until today.

You hear the keys in the lock and the door clicks open.

"Y/N?" He calls and his voice sends cold fear through your blood. You don't move from your position on the sofa as he calls your name again.

"There you are, why didn't you answer me?" He leans over the back of the sofa before switching the light on.

He looks at you again and winces.

"Baby I didn't mean to-" he begins but you cut him off before he has a chance to excuse himself.

"Don't you 'baby' me anymore. The moment you turned violent it was over. I've put up with your shit for longer than anyone else would, hoping that one day you might turn around and be the nice guy I fell in love with." You can feel the tears streaming down your swollen cheeks.

"Y/N, I am so fucking sorry. I know I've been an asshole recently but I can change."

"It's over Michael. I can't trust you again." You say and you get up of the sofa, Michael grabs your arm and pulls you close.

"Please don't fucking do this Y/N." He pleads but as you look into his weak eyes, all you can see is his angry expression when he called you a 'useless bitch' and slapped you so hard the world spun.

You yank your arm free of his grip and bolt for the open door, never looking back.

Ashton:

You stare at the scene before you. Ashton sitting with a girl in the coffee shop you two were meant to be meeting at for your 6 month anniversary. You've had trust issues in the past so Ashton made markers every month to show you that every little step counts.

Faithful. Loyal. Won't hurt you. These words flash through your mind and are replaced with betrayal. Distrust. Liar.

Your blood boils and you clench your fists before storming into the coffee shop and straight to Ashton's table. He leans towards the girl and takes her hand in his before kissing it. Your anger is now white hot as you slam your fist down on the table, making the crockery rattle.

Ashton drops the girl's hand and spins to face you, wide eyed and guilty before stuttering a failed excuse. You ignore him and try to breathe out of your nose calmly.

"I don't care what it looks like Ashton. We are over, forever. Cheating isn't acceptable." You say as you clench and unclench your fists in a calming way.

"Y/N, Grace is just a friend, please." He begs and Grace nods vigorously.

"Oh please, you seriously think I'm that dumb? I saw you kiss her fucking hand!" The shop is deadly quiet and all eyes are on you.

"Y/N, you're making a scene and embarrassing us-"

"I could give a flying fuck if I'm causing a scene, you're a dirty fucking cheater Ashton Irwin and I never want to speak to you ever again." You scream at him, your chest is heaving and you turn on your heel before sprinting out of the door at full speed, not before Ashton saw the tears.

Calum:

You've made a welcome home dinner for Calum. It's his favourite and since you're not really a chef, you bothered learning the recipe really hard even after 3 failed attempts.

You sit at the table and wait, watching the clock on the wall tick by. Soon minutes are turning into hours. Your food is cold and the candle is on its last light. You feel the tears building up but you try and be strong for yourself. Maybe he just got carried away with celebrating, now he's at home for the first time in 5 months. You try to reassure yourself. But you can't stop the ache in your chest. It hurts and you can't stop yourself picking up your phone and dialling his number.

It rings three times before he picks up.

"Y/N?"

"Hey Cal, I was just wondering where you are?"

"Uh, I left you a voicemail... I guess you haven't listened to it yet... I gotta go but listen to the voicemail and everything will be clear." He hangs up and you press your voicemail, Calum's voice begins and a smile immediately comes to your face.

"Y/N, hey, wow it's been five months and today we are reunited. Five months is a really, really long time to be apart and... Uh. See, uh, how do I put this? I don't feel the same way as I did five months ago. I guess we just grew apart. I just... I met someone else and they were the missing piece. Don't get me wrong, I missed you a shit ton for the first few months but then it sort of faded. And it's in no way your fault but I- I don't love you anymore Y/N. This is so fucking hard to say over voicemail and if you get this then maybe you'll be angry, or sad or maybe you don't feel the same either and you'll understand and move on. I did love you Y/N, but I guess love runs out." Click.

Luke:

"You're a fucking liar!"

"Why can't you just listen to me?"

"Because you lied to me!"

"I didn't lie! You just can't fucking trust me! You are too stupid to believe me!"

Luke yells before running his hand through his messy hair. This is the fifth argument you've had this evening since you got home from work. You never used to argue at all, you and Luke were the perfect couple but suddenly overnight Luke became distant and moody and he always picked up on the smallest things. It hurt to have someone constantly on your back, putting you down or telling you you aren't worth it all the time.

"Oh I'm stupid? You never would have called me that six weeks ago!" You scream. You can't stand being around Luke anymore, suddenly every little thing that has pissed you off has intensified so much.

"Get back in the kitchen!" Luke retorts and you scream.

"You fucking misogynistic bastard! I fucking hate you!" Luke's rude attitude to you has just been the icing on the cake. You storm out of your bedroom and march down the stairs.

"Wait you're leaving?" Luke catches up with you and steps in front of you, blocking your path. He finally realises you're leaving for good.

"Yes, I fucking am and this time I'm not coming back. You don't treat me like I deserve to be Luke." You say and his face drops. His eyes are sad and his body sags at your words. You can't afford to stay with him and go in circles, again and again. (see what I did there 😉) You step around him and walk out of the door.

A/N- guys never, ever stay with anyone who treats you like this. You all deserve so much better and happiness <3 - L
