SS - Chabashira-sensei's helper (must read)

Chabashira-sensei's POV

I was at the convenience store, buying food ingredients and other goods I needed.

As I was picking my last item I heard someone calling me from behind.

"Chabashira-sensei?"

I turned to the direction of the voice and there was my student, Ayanokouji-kun.

"Ayanokouji-kun?"

"What a freaky coincidence, am I right?" He said, with a monotonous tone.

"I presume you're doing the same as me?" I asked, noticing his right hand carrying a plastic bag.

"Yeah, I was going to pay now."

"Oh, me too."

He headed together to the counter. I let him pay first. He thanked me and exited the store.

Short after I did exactly what he did, but surprinsingly he was waiting for me near the entrance, looking at the sunset, with his hair being pushed by the wind.

"Ayanokouji-kun, do you want something from me?"

"Yeah, I do. Can I accompany you to your room?"  (😏) He smiled, staring at me with his golden eyes.

I'm going to be honest, he was really attractive. If we had the same age, maybe I would already have fallen for him.

"Yes, no problem."

He then looked down, to my hands, which were both holding a bag. He approached me and grabbed it and started heading to the teacher's dorms.

"Sensei, lets go. It's getting late."

"Sorry, I was just thinking about your gentlemen's act." I confess I was somewhat confused.

"I couldn't leave my favourtie Sensei carrying such a heavy bag, could I?"

"Haha, that's a good one." I laughed and we both walked to my room. "So, Ayanokouji-kun, what do you want?" I questioned him, with a smirk in my face.

We stayed silent for seconds and then,  breaking the calm atmosphere, he asked me:

"Chabashira-sensei, do you want to reach Class A?" I knew he was going to ask me this.

"Of course. I don't know if I already told you I receive more merit If I end up as the homeroom teacher of Class A." I was being sincere, however Ayanokouji-kun didn't seem satisfied by my anwer.

He sighed and stared at the purple sky and orange sun.

"But you don't care about that merit, do you?" Hearing him, I stiffened and he noticed, continuing: "There's a main reason why you want to rise to Class A, or am I wrong?"

He caught me. He knew that I didn't wish better payment or conditions. I continued walking, not daring to speak.

"I will consider that a yes, Sensei." Ignoring him didn't work.

"So, why do you think I want to be in Class A, Ayanokouji-kun?" I was genuinely curious for his anwer.

He glanced at me and then started imagining an explanation.

"If I had to guess, I'd say rivalry. Although you and Chie are close friends, I am sure that you both are competing to see who's the one who can reach Class A first."

"As expected, Ayanokouji-kun." It was really incredible how he discovered all this with just one interaction between me and Chie-chan.

"I see... Then why did you want to give us the wrong contents for the midterms? Why did you hide information about the S-system and the school? Were you testing us?" Obviously he figured out the why's.

"Yes, I was."

We arrived the entrance of the teacher's dorms and stopped. He gave me my bag and began leaving but I had still one question to make.

"Ayanokouji-kun." He turned to me, waiting for me to keep on. "Why do you want to rise to Class A? You definitely don't care about the 'prize'."

He smirked and walked off, but not before saying:

"Who knows."

I entered the elevator and went up to my floor. Opened my door and let myself fall in the bed.

There's much to reveal about this brown haired boy.

His desires, methods, past...

I'm just certain of one thing.

As long as Ayanokouji Kiyotaka decides to climb up the ranks...

My wish will be accomplished.

A/N

This is the last SS, kinda boring and bad-written ik, but it was necessary.

I was racking my brain trying to think of a situation and then went to my notes and found Taper__'s suggestion, thx.

Next chapter, prob tomorrow, next volume, btw I will make something different from the LN, hehe, don't worry.
