I couldn't seem to make out what had just happened. Close to tears, I stood there staring like everyone else. Leon's body hanging off a baseball post. Surrounded by bloody baseballs. It was something that would stick with me forever. The door behind us opened to let us back to the cafeteria. Everyone started heading back. I took one last look at Leon. Poor guy. He said he still had so much left to do... I mean, I understand he is a murderer, but he did say he did it in self defence... I sighed and left with everyone else, trying to calm myself. I could still hear his screaming ringing in my ears.
"I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!"
"I STILL HAVE SO MANY PLANS!!"
"I DON'T WANT TO DIEEEEEEEE!!"
...

-Leon Kuwata-
I slowly woke up, dazed and confused. Where was I..? I tried to focus my eyes on things around me. Those seem to look like... baseballs? I can't see them properly... Hey wait, I can't move! I try to get myself free. A chain around my hands loosen a bit. That helps, I guess? I look around a bit more, searching for answers. Is there something on the baseballs? Huh... I try to wriggle myself free a little bit more. The chains around my legs loosen enough for me to be able to get out, as well as my arms. I start walking around, taking in the surroundings. I picked up a baseball. As soon as I saw the blood on it, it all came flooding back to me. They sent me to die... because of me defending myself against Maizono. I chucked the baseball at the wall, frustrated.

"It's okay, Hiro!" That is Chihiro. She's checking on me more now that Leon is gone. "He was a terrible murderer anyway. He did deserve what he got..."
"Well, I guess you're right, Fujisaki. But I can't help but think that he really didn't deserve it, for self defence..."
Chihiro sighed. "My point is, don't get worked up over something that had to happen, okay? You don't need him."
She gave me a small hug before she left to talk with Taka and Mondo. I sighed, staring down at the table. That was a lie. I needed him badly. I wanted him to continue talking about his future career. I wanted him to continue arguing with Junko about that picture of him with a shaved head. I wanted him to continue shouting at me after I said that he wouldn't end up being a musician. I just... I just want him back. In the little time we spent together, I can easily say he became my best friend.

-Leon Kuwata-
That's when I saw it. The door. A smile flickered across my face.

I was free.

I tried walking over to it. "CRAP!!" A shot of pain in my legs suddenly started up. Of course. When you're condemned to death and have 1000 or so high speed baseballs pelted at you from all angles, all while being chained up, your legs are not gonna work, are they? I sighed and tried to ignore the pain everywhere. I limped my way over to the door and started walking down the corridor. Where I was dragged to my supposed death... I chuckled to myself. Their faces when they realise I'm not dead at all! Well, a few bruises and cuts here and there but apart from that! I gradually reached the end of the hall. This was it. Oh man, I will scare the shit outta them! I limped into the cafeteria. Nobody seemed to notice. This was great! I smiled.

"So," I began. "Missed me yet?"
